A legend in the Mount Rushmore of super middleweights, Andre S.O.G Ward. Apologies again for my long inactivity, wish I had more hours in a day to work on videos. Finishing up a Marciano mini doc video right now, should upload it soon. Stay tuned!
a few years ago i looked at he's boxrec add in all he's fights not one judge had him losing. not a single judge from over 30 fights. thats what u call winner 👊🏾
Andre Ward was always an amazing fighter and an example as an athlete. He was capable of adapting to anyone’s style and still come out victorious. My most serious admiration to this still underrated beast. S.O.G. 🔥🙏👊
Awesome video! Everybody has a different opinion of Ward but he was a true athlete/fighter and student of the game. Back in the day, I thought Ward and Andre Dirrell was gonna be a future superfight.
I wish I could drop two likes on this video!! Andre Ward did something very rare in sports and thats retire at the top; When he left the sport he was the #1 P4P boxer on the planet. I remember when Andre won the Super Six...what a legendary fighter!! Dope work RDB!! 👊👊✌
Another winning upload. Ward fought everybody in his division and had the cheat codes for all of them. But can we also take a moment to give respect to Virgil Hunter? Literally down with Ward from Day 1 to the last day of his career. Ward/Hunter is one of the most underrated fighter/coach teams in the history of the sport. Most of all, you have to love the utmost respect with which Ward speaks of Hunter in all his interviews. A class act.
He used to spar with my favorite mma fighters nick and nate who in my opinion had the best boxing in mma before everyone started taking notes and learning how to box those brothers were ahead of their time especially nick thanks to having guys like this around him. I personally think ward was the best during his era hands down
Here I am just casually going through your vaunted catalogue and I find this gem you sir are more than a mere editor of videos you’re a bloody ARTISAN and your renderings capture the essence of the noble art and sweet science that is boxing through its most celebrated and respected practitioners keep up the excellent work we appreciate what you do
This comment left a big grin on face, truly appreciate the flattering words! Thank you watching my videos, glad you're enjoying them enough to watch more than one
@@RainyDayBoxing it would be hard not to lol ! I steal bits of pieces of all these guys and try to implement moves and most importantly the mindset of these great champions when I do my thing when I train because you do such a wonderful job capturing The essence of these warriors keep em coming each one a masterpiece 💪🏿
I don’t see my self as an Andre Ward, but I admire his unconventional but technical style!!! 🥊🥊. (Also a natural left hander that fights in a conventional orthodox stance)
Always thought a lot of Andre’s infighting prowess came from what looked on the television screen as short arms for his height (not T-Rex arms like Cotto or Hatton, but definitely below average). This video confirms that. 🤜🏾
I thought that too. Bernard Hopkins is another guy that had what looked like relatively short arms. And coincidentally, Hopkins and Ward are both master boxers and some of the most intelligent fighters ever.
Andre Ward a fuckin G. One of my fav all time fighters. I always thought he could give Floyd a run for his money prime for prime. (Obviously not same weight class) but skill set. Owwweeeeee Ward was super slick like Floyd.
Another beautiful backing track - how do you do it? but info on the original artist would be nice.. Whats that music?? Shazam got no result Liked ofc already subscribed
Lot of people talk shit about ward but he don't know ward is not blessed with power like canelo, Tyson or other not blessed with speed like manny or Judah not blessed with toughness he is normal guy who love boxing .... But he blessed with hard work and discipline he master the fundamental and he become a great champion
Silky smooth boxing skills very technical but an absoloute dog inside very strong and physical could bully people inside then when it's back to long range his left hand was a majic wand ... Don't feel like he's appreciated enough like prime for prime at 168lb he'd smoke Canelo with ease that's how highly I rate him
Underachieving champion imo. Retired too early and tells others to do the same before they reach there peak (tyson fury being the most recent guy who ward told to retire on a career high)
Great boxer, probably fell under the category of too good for his own good, could make any fighter look ordinary which sucks the drama out of a fight. And he hadn't the trash talk of the likes of Mayweather to help sell fights. A class act though.
