I lost my dad almost 8 years ago. Neither one of us could carry a tune to save our lives, but we sang this, full volume, when we were on car trips to his chemo treatments. One bright morning in the future, with him standing at the Gate, I hope to hear him sing this with me again. I miss you, Daddy, every day. You were my hero. I hope I am making you proud.
What a special memory. May your dad rest in peace. I lost my Dad to Covid on 6-4-20, and miss him every day. He fought a long battle with Alzheimer's, before succumbing to covid. We didn't sing Hallelujuh together (so glad that you did!), but sang many other songs together (60s and 70s folk songs mostly). When his memories were going, he still remembered music & lyrics. Rest in peace, Dad. I love you.
I cannot carry a tune either, Nellie, and neither could my sweet father. How I wish we could have sung together anyway like you did with your father! That is so awesome! Next time I sing this (however badly) I will think of my own sweet Dad in heaven and of course, you and yours. Thank you for sharing!
Made my heart ache for my dad, for my mom, for how hateful this world has gotten, for all the ills in this life!!! Maybe if we all blast this out of our windows it will bring back the love we all need in our lives!!! God bless! 🙏🏼😇❤️😇🙏🏼

My Dad died 45 years ago. I was 12. I cry like a baby every time I hear this song. How fortunate she is to have a moment like this with her Dad. Cherish every minute you never know what tomorrow may bring.
In case anybody is wondering, "Oct 18, 2021 - The signed guitar was auctioned online after the concert, earning $205,000 for the Andrea Bocelli Foundation." Excellent parenting skills on behalf of the Bocelli's! Absolutely wonderful what this family does to help this world to be a better place for everyone! It should be that way, you know. More people and celebrities in the Limelight should have their kids do something like this rather than something disorderly and with Reckless Behavior in society! God bless the Bocelli family and Everyone. Have a wonderful day💞 Hugs from Katrinka in the San Francisco Bay Area
Reckless behavior:? Hummm saying: " a fish rots from the head down” ...look at the state of america...and who was the head of this country for 4 years...let's just start there.
@@ceeedwards8453 Hey I totally agree with you. And there's not just corrupt people in America but all over the world. The Bocelli's are truly amazing people who I admire on the highest scale possible. I really want to forget about the past 4 years. I felt like we were in a different time zone for that period and there was no way out. It was a very sad time, it was the time I was not proud to be an American. Let's hope I change my mind with our new president in place. I really had no intentions of my original comment going into a political Direction. I think the Bocelli's are great!! Have a great day
Well said. Instead of young school children using knives on each other why don't they get together and help other children not as lucky and fortunate as themselves.
@@millyarscott8656 …and now we have the senile old man as president! How are you liking him so far?! It’s almost comical to watch. This country is looked at as a complete joke now.
I wish I can get a one day pass to heaven to visit my parents. I would definitely love to watch this video with them. I love and miss you Mom and Dad 💞
Algún dia irás a su encuentro, mientras, seran ellos los que te acompañen y nunca te sentirás solo ni desamparado. El vídeo no sé, pero la música. es tan espiritual, que trasciende de este mundo y nos transporta al cielo.
My father was a musician who played piano and xylophone to relax. He Learned everything by ear. We grew up in a house with a music room where we had an organ, piano, xylophone and drum set….out of six children only one of us played an instrument…. I miss the live music…..I would sit on the piano bench beside my dad and sing along with his playing. These are the best memories to give your children❤️❤️❤️. He’s been gone almost 8 years and my brother 10 years before him my brother who was a gifted pianist as well. Missing the music and the memories they gifted us. Keep playing with your kids and maybe grandchildren…
When his voice set in, I immediately got goose-bumps. When this girl will be a woman and her father might be gone one day, she can always look back to all of those precious moments - the music will always connect them on a deep soul level.
I loved it when she gave him the little pats on the back. Such a sweet and personal exchange of love between her and her Father. "Don't worry, I got your back, Dad!" 😍❤🥰❤😍
God Bless him and his beautiful family. He and his wife are so blessed. They did good. Beautiful parents to have their beautiful children. They raised them right 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Some people just seem prone to assume the worst. Nonetheless, many people give a “thumbs down” merely to adjust the algorithm to prevent similar content in their feed. Maybe a glass of wine would help?
@@twincherry4958 Haha! Why don’t people ever learn the difference? Pet peeve? There, their, and they’re. Must be hard to learn English as second language.
@@God_is_love79 agreed. I think the comment above by @Amy is mean and spiteful especially when aimed at a child. Whether she has paid coaches or her father, she has amazing talent, and as a non-musical mother with a tone deaf husband, we wonder where all three of our kids got their musical talent. As parents of musical kids, we know the hours and hours of practice that go into becoming proficient let alone expert at your craft. This seems to be a sweet child with the confidence and composure to go onstage in front of thousands of people. A nine year old who can not only keep up with one of the preeminent tenors in the world, but can stay on pitch and also harmonize? Rare indeed. You have to have the raw (some would say God given) talent to be able to be taught or coached. I could hire all the best people in the world to coach me in basketball but I’ll never be Michael Jordan or LeBron James.
@@Amy-oh8qb there's no amount of coaching that could cause someone to sing as beautiful as his daughter did. She's got natural talent that is being nurtured, but many people couldn't sing like her no matter what kind of vocal teaching they had.
To hear a daughter singing such a wonderful song as Hallelujah so beautifully with her father had me in tears almost from the start. The beauty that God has given us, and what expresses through us at times sometimes overwhelms me and I cannot stop the tears of joy. God is such love, as are we when we allow it to flow through us.
"Maybe there's a God above but all I ever learned from love Was how to shoot at someone who outdrew you It's no complaint you hear tonight It's not some pilgrim who's seen the light it's a cold and it's a lonely(/broken )Hallelujah"
Aaah @Michael Krupar, you said it - every father's wish realised in that moment! "I did my best - it wasn't much. I couldn't feel, so I tried to touch..."
I know right?! So true, I was thinking the very same thing. His voice could blow out most singers without even trying but he softens to let his daughter shine in her own light.
And to think that Andrea's mom was advised to abort him and she refused! Can you imagine what we would have missed out on if he was never born? He is truly blessed by God!
That is a perverse observation and opinion, it has no place in comments about the singer and the music in general. With your comment you want to indoctrinate on a sensitive subject. Keep your opinions for yourself. ☹️ We just want to enjoy the music. 🎶
Virginia has such a strong good voice at such a young age. So delighted to see such a lovely duet by father and daughter. She's so brave to sing in such big crowd.
Sing your Hallelujahs strong and loud no matter what singing voice you were given! God is listening. And He is smiling from the sweet sounds of this child! God Bless 🥰
That’s a lie This is a performance NOT Worship God only hears HIS children And when we come to an age of responsibility that is when we are held accountable Knowing right from wrong - not the years we’ve been on this earth Satan talks thru people like the response you made Jesus Christ came to redeem man Not to be nostalgic over a song or someone seeing it
I have loved Andrea Bocelli's voice since the very first time I heard him sing, and then he went on and did a duet with his son that was absolutely amazing. I was not aware he had such a young daughter, but she has obviously inherited her fathers talent as well as his love and compassion for others, and she is as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside. Together, they make an amazing duet.
@Charles Harper- had a similar experience…my son and fiancee were getting married…”we’re having that Andrea Bocelli song…” Who is that? She and a friend broke into the duet in English then Italian…I almost passed out in the backseat! So beautiful! I looked him up on RU-vid (and so should you!) He has his own hits but is also known for lending his voice to duets with pop artists (see Perfect Symphony with Ed Sheeran).
Oh my gosh! How exciting it must be for Maestro Bocelli to be performing, with his son, Matteo, & young daughter, Virginia. Their family has been blessed, with superior singing talent. ❤
This concert was held the day my father passed away into heaven. He was a great fan of Andrea’s, especially his rendition of The Lord’s Prayer of which he listened to every morning.
Andrea has some very talented children. When his little girl started to harmonise with his part I started to cry. I hope that they raised lots of money for their foundation.
I again and again listen to the beautiful angelic voices of Andrea and his daughter Virginia, and each time I feel tears running down my face. Andrea's son, Matteo, is also very gifted. The Lord has given us a wonderful gift of their music. Thank you Bocelli family.
Dang…. That family has more talent in their collective fingernails than I’ll ever have in a lifetime. Simply beautiful. His son Matteo is a wonder as well. Great family and an awesome father.
And to think Dr tried to convince Andre's mother to abort him. The music this man has given the world. And now his children. Hallelujah his mother did not listen.
Virginia loves her dad so much she doesn't see his blindness as she sings she looks up to him as if to say was I OK dad.love the whole family they are not snobby so down to earth his sons are a credit to all.and his little girl is not spoilt beautiful to see and hear thier talent.thank you uk
That's exactly what I was thinking! Great talent runs in this family. Makes me kinda jealous, I don't get any good talent or good genes from my parents 😂
He has another son as well. Both by his first marriage. Little Virginia is with his second wife, thus the gap. Nurture is important. I taught elementary music for many years and lots of kids come to matching pitch when they are older. My grandkids parents are both singers and they have all sung on pitch since toddling. In other words, even the humming they heard around the house was on pitch.
Always had a fantasy that one day Andreas would have sight. To see his loving family, even for a day.❤ hes given light to so many people's hearts, he deserves our light to his eyes.❤❤
I absolutely love Andrea Bocelli, his operatic tenor voice is flawless and runs smoothly without straining. Singing with his beautiful daughter is amazing. We will be hearing more from her as she gets older. Xxxx
God bless Leonard Cohen, his voice in this song has been an instrument for more souls than can be imagined. Andre and his daughter, o two of many that knew it’s value. 😔🥰🇨🇦👏🏽
Sitting in my garden, with a lovely coffee, listening to their beautiful rendition of Allelujah, I feel so blessed. Thank you for this beautiful performance.
Listening with a big grin and tears.. I've not a religious bone in my body but I do sooo love this song and to listen to these two, makes it even better.. Hi from New Zealand living the dream..
It's beautiful to see and hear Andrea Bocelli and his daughter Virginia singing together ❤ Absolutely beautiful ❤ I live in Reykjavík in Iceland and on 27.november 2021 me and my daughter will attend a concert with Andrea Bocelli in Reykjavík in Iceland. We can't wait ❤❤
November 27 is my birthday. I will be thinking of you and your daughter on that day, doing what so many of us wish that we ourselves could be doing! Have a WONDERFUL time!!! EDIT: And today is the day!!!! Yes, November 27, 2021. I hope you and your daughter had a WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL time. :)
I remember Virginia as very little, when her father would take her in his arms at the end of concert. This is very heart warming detail, that is family closeness. Long ago J. Iglesias lost his family by being immersed in his artistic life and his wife and kids staying back home. That was so unfair to all. So now finally I see many artists not doing this mistake. Alleluia!
Iglesias was also super arrogant and couldn’t keep it in his pants, bragging about it to the international humiliation of his wife and kids. He was a smarmy glorified lounge singer who made it big with tons of ego but nowhere near Bocelli’s talent and artistic range. Bocelli has the maturity and grace to use his gift to help make the world better and is teaching his kids to do the same.
We all make BIG mistakes we regret BIG TIME…May God in His Mercy, and our family forgive. Grace is not something say oops and then are entitled to; it’s something we seek to begin restoring relationship. I hope Julio finds peace. Fame is a taskmaster.
Wow! I had a wonderful Dad. He.played the piano every day. He encouraged me to harmonize with everything. When I turned five he put a ukulele in my hands. This brings back such a memories. Thank you lovely father and daughter.
Thanks for your love and support all through this times, it’s been a wonderful feeling praying for my fans around the world. Though I rarely comment here on my RU-vid pages, I was attracted by the emotions in your comment. I’ll like we get along and stay in touch. Where are you streaming from.💝🌹👋
My husband gave me one of the most amazing gifts ever about 7 years ago when he took me to see Mr Bocelli perform . I still get chills from the memory. And now to hear him sing with Virginia is so heartwarming. I pray Love and blessings for their family .
What child has that much confidence and stage presence? Bocelli's daughter....mind blowing and beautiful! Wow. Speechless. My daughter, Caroline, obviously knows how to hear greatness. Leonard Cohen, wrote one EPIC piece of music....stunning!
I lost my Mother in January 1918. ... Her favourite song was Hallelujah, ofcourse she didn't foreign Languages, only a little bit Italian...She was dement, but when she heard this song she was happy and I love this song too

I love to listen to children sing with their father, mothers, and siblings. The harmony is just awesome, and this is just another good example. This was beautiful, and she is very talented like her daddy!
Old goat Green Beret, Paratrooper, and seasoned soldier here...my eyes get moist every time I hear Virginia sing this song. For some reason, this song gets to me
I am already in tears reading all the comments here. Such a crying baby i am i know. I missed my dad too. He passed on 5 years ago, we missed him so much but we know he is at a better place now out of suffering physically ♥️
Oh my gosh.. brilliant... being raised to sing a Leonard Cohen classic in both English and Italian... sooooooo beautiful.. what a magical moment for her and Andrea!!!! This is my all time favourite song and this makes my heart so happy!!!!! Well done Virginia... oh my that harmonizing!!! I can't even!!!!!! Happy sighs.....
The beauty that this father and daughter create together with their voices scorches the heart. It's not just their voices , it's their love. What the Bocelli's express in song my Dad and I produced in the actions of our lives. My father was a medical pioneer. The month, I started kindergarten, he was given 3 months to live with a non Hodgkins lymphoma diagnosis in 1962. Chemotherapy was in its infancy. Everything was experimental. He was the only one of his initial group to survive. He lived 16 1/2 years on chemotherapy medication daily and intermissions that were measured in weeks. When I processed ⁷out from my college graduation, I handed him my diploma telling him that it was as much his as it was mine. He died 40 days later.
My God, I have no words to explain the movement I felt listening theses two angels singing, Maestro Bocelli and his daugther, CONGRATULATIONS👏👏👏🌹🌹🌹💖💖💖🌟🌟🌟ñ
@AndreaBocelli-gd2vfgracias maestro x darnos esa deferencia de cantar con su hija, esa hermosa y emotiva canción. Bendiciones para su familia. 🙅♀️🙏🇨🇱
Many a young lady this day in age are singing like angles , just look at the young girl originally from Poland, not only does she sings well she is the master of the violin...
I believe God directed me to this video today…I was praying yesterday for guidance and this reminds me how much we are loved in spite of the feelings of helplessness we might sometimes have. This was such a blessing to me!
I've heard them perform this together before. It was in an opera house in Italy. The song was unbelieveable. Andrea, in that setting, touches the soul w/ his voice. Together they are amazing.
I agree and i feel very sad for those who have no faith at all. Blessings to those of you who believe! After all Jesus is the reason for the season! What else is there? X
Beautiful and so sweet to see father and daughter sing so beautifully together. What's wrong with over 800 who gave a thumbs down...better in this case not to vote at all. I think dad and daughter are so at one ...heart melting❤❤❤

This made me ugly cry. My beloved Grandma who passed away LOVED Andrea Bocelli, and this was just beautiful. It made my heart hurt bc of missing my Grandma so much but I know she was listening to this with me. ❤💛💚💙💜💖😭😪
Absolutely brilliant. It's such a joy to see Virginia's confidence and ease under the guardianship of her daddy whose love she bathes in. It brings back memories of the joy and radiant knowing of being absolutely unconditionally loved and adored by my own "blind" father. Who, even without eyes, made me feel more seen and loved than by any other I have ever known. Thank you daddy for those 23 years we were together on this planet earth and for the many more years you have joined me while in heaven. Thank you A Bocelli and Virginia for actively reminding me of how to be loved as I love.
