When Andrea sings "Time to say goodbye" in English, that still makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. He has such a beautiful voice. I love Ms. Brightman, too but not a real big fan of female opera voices. I do have an appreciation for them. I also love how she's kind of clinging to him. It's very beautiful. Andrea Bocelli is one of the best opera singers in the world. Sarah Brightman was a dancer, married Andrew Lloyd Webber and was the first 'Christine' in his musical 'Phantom of the Opera' alongside Michael Crawford.

"Time to say goodbye" is a poor translation , but Bocelli usually ends his concerts with this signature song which was a worldwide hit. It's only the past couple of years that I learned to like this type of music. I don't even know what it's called, opera or musical, but I like it. My father used to listen to it but I just ignored it. In my 30s I started to try out different genres of music, and with RU-vid that's very easy to do because everything is out there.

Big fan of Sararh & Andrea...Saw Sarah live performance at the Honda Center here in So.Cal...waiting for the chance to see Andrea..You right about the chemistry between the two on stage..honest sincere.magic..they have toured and shared the stage on many occasions before...Sarah sing in varied range of genres too.And is seasoned musical performaner in concert , and prior to the tours..a star diva of Broadway..of Rock Opera..here in the states and across the pond ..London..Most famously..for Andrew Lloyd- Weber's .."Phantom"..and prior to that " Cats"..

David Foster calls Bocelli the greatest singer in the world. I was married to an accomplished Choir director for n47 years and while I don't know the intricacies of classical music I grew to appreciate it when well done.

The theory is that objective art is so constructed as to achieve desired effects, such as you and I feel when hearing this tremendous work of objectively beautiful art. I loved it so much that I printed it out really big, and would look at it while driving, singing along with the cassette playing. I soon had to re-write it phonetically, because the Italian was troublesome in parts. But I finally got it, and was singing along this time. Great way to learn a language. RU-vid is very helpful too. With its help you can learn Latin with Cat Stevens' "O Caritas", Bengali with "O Nodi Re", Vietnamese with "Cua Gao Bai", and Italian with "Con te Partiro" (Time to say Goodbye). BTW, they are not saying goodbye to each other, the two of them are saying goodbye to the others, on their journey of love. There are other versions of this too, and one with two of them that I think even sounds better, and was the one I used.

I don't know if you realise this but Andrea Bocelli appeared not too long ago on a version of Ed Sheeran's song Perfect (which was called Perfect Symphony) and featured in the video Ed going to meet Andrea and record the song at his house. If you've not seen this you really need to. It's quite funny seeing a star as big as Ed Sheeran so starstruck.

Another INCREDIBLE one is the live version of the song "Phantom of the Opera" with Sarah Brightman and Antonio Banderas. Incredible 🙌❤️

Angela, that was a beautiful performance of "Time to Say Goodbye" without question, but you should or need to also see the performance of Jackie Evancho at age 10 with Sarah Brightman on America's Got Talent singing "Time to Say Goodbye", it will also blow you away and say "WOW", Jackie Evancho has gone on to become an Performer in her own right since then and has many hits and covers she's done.

You're right. Quite apart from the awesome performance, the chemistry between them is something really special. This modern classic has become part of almost every opera singer's repertoire over the past couple of decades, though Andrea is not, like Sarah, a formally trained operatic tenor. Believeitor not, she was a raunchy dancer with erotic dance troupe 'Hot Gossip' before she switched careers. The fact that most of it is not in English yet we can't fail to totally get it speaks volumes for the quality of this wonderful song. 'Blown away' and 'words fail me' are appropriate expressions here. Well done Angela.
