This Tommy Tiernan guy is HUGELY talented. He has a way in interviewing people in that he gives them PLENTY of time. He's very comfortable with silence and has such a calm presence. The show is organic and hits all the emotional buttons, including humour.
As Irish People we talk a big game about selling out for commercial success but the aim is to be successful commercially without compromising artist integrity. Irish artists are particularly good at it. There’s music and poetry in our blood.
I think you hit the nail on the head. Ireland punches well above its weight in the arts and there's nothing wrong with commercial success and it shouldn't be frowned on if the artistic output is still the same or better.
Wonderful, natural and down to earth interview. Tommy gets Andrea to relax and be herself. Warm, beautiful and authentic. I love the last minute or so where they laugh and find a lightness that you feel they were having a chat in the pub. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.
This incredible woman is lovely, and talented....and through this interview, I've discovered just how thoughtful and caring she is, too. I am grateful for the interview! Thanks for sharing it!! God bless!!!
I've watched almost every interview Tommy has done and I don't think there is even a single one I could critique. His questions are so articulate. Lifelong Corrs fan here too. Maithú Tommy!
Still a beautiful and a gorgeous woman after all theses years, her eyes, her smile, her voice, a very charismatic Lady ! I love Andrea, I love the Corrs for ever ! I miss them so.....
Can we please take a minute to acknowledge what an absolutely wonderful and sensitive, wise and beautiful human being li’l Tommy is - and be grateful for it!
i enjoy watching andrea's interviews. people don't give her much credit for being wise because she is good looking but what makes her great is when she speaks, there's always some sense and depth to what she says. interviews about spirituality, religion, faith and philosophy, i always learn something new from her. she's full of wisdom, and i believe it has to do with her being a voracious reader.
Gosh Andrea is just gorgeous.. sorry, girl crush! Her singing is wonderful. I love the band. Great interview... nice to see a host who lets his guest actually answer what he asks and doesn't interrupt them. She seems a bit nervous but he gets her talking really well. What a likeable lady.
I think it"s difficult not to fall in love with Andrea, she's pretty, talented, smart, good person, humble, funny, what else a man could want from a girl, as well as Sharon and Caroline, these three girls are like angels.
I lost my mother at 19. It's a fact that tragedy can create success and the most beautiful triumphs. So much respect for the family. So talanted and honest. No bullshit with them Amazing group. One of the great family acts.
I was lucky enough to see 4 concerts during the 2004 Borrowed Heaven Tour. Every concert was overwhelming. I think Andrea misses those times most of the four.
Beautiful interview. The strength of not knowing and surrender and the art that sprouts from it. Tommy's beautiful and I love his music and Andrea's comedy ofcorrs, but this is very worthwhile too.
As a (lapsed - horribly lapsed) Catholic, my only prayer is "Thanks, God, for Andrea Corr!" Immediate apologies if they're needed, but she is so wonderful. And I am sincere.
I remember as a gasun of about 7 sitting with my da at the bar in McManus’s pub in Dundalk having a finches orange and this goddess was working behind the bar. Still have her autograph on a carlsberg beer mat. Love her long time ❤️
You had great taste in women and pubs as a gasun! McManus's was a lovely pub with it's nooks and cranny, sewing machine tables, a warm welcome and mighty porter. I was a student in Dundalk in the early 90s and McManus's and Russells were our locals. Sharon and Caroline worked there a fair bit and Sharon worked there a bit too. Lovely girls, well mannered, not a bit of airs and graces about them and Andrea had been in The Commitments around that time.
I find this a perceptive and uplifting television interview, with Tommy T. asking tough, often searching questions, and Andrea C. more than rising to the occasion. And then, a lovely synchronicity at the end between the two.
@@seandomhnallosullivan2544 I've seen a few comments from ya personally attacking Andrea, can I ask why? (You're entitled to your opinion, but your claims sound like you know her and I'm willing to bet you don't) the woman can do as she pleases with her own money man, how would that be any of your business?
Andrea corr is my favorite star ❤️ I like her so much ❤️her voice is so breathtaking ❤️and she is so cute ❤️I wish I could speak English so well and I could live in Ireland not in boring Germany 😭🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
Everybody here points out what a great interviewer Tommy is. He has skills for sure. But why doesn't he start with light easy questions about growing up in the band etc before finishing up with heavy questions about death, religion etc
Tommy Tiernan is good at getting indepth interviews out of people, but Andrea is very measured in interviews and there is a wall that cannot be penetrated when interviewing her.
I never thought that Andrea is an ISTJ - just my observation. She was marketed differently before but from this interview, I get a sense of her personality.
Very beautiful woman you can see she’s nervous but it’s amazing with all her success she’s so down to earth Tommy could’ve done better with the questions She traveled the world became unbelievably famous and he’s asking her country town questions I’m surprised at Tommy
Humble, kind, gracious. In other words, the opposite of what we've come to expect from the famous. Fame ultimately destroys most of those who seek it. Oh, and the Bible is quite clear as to why we are here and what our purpose is. I'd be happy to share the simple secret...
@@ClannCholmain Dear John, blaming Jesus for suffering and death is like blaming Gandhi for Hitler's crimes. The Bible makes clear the Devil is the cause of all human suffering, aided and abetted by sinful mankind. See Ecclesiastes 8:9; Revelation 12:9 etal. Anyway, for Andrea and those who truly care the purpose for our being here can be found in Genesis 1:26-28; Ecclesiastes 12:13,14 and finally John 13:35. Love for God, love for neighbor, love for planet earth and all living things
You must protect your nervous system from TTX as now as you are older your white cell count is low and these Bacteria you have accumulated throughout your live are no longer being kept in check. Drink 1/8 glass of Vinegar to keep your body acidic and even take ascorbic acid chewable Vitamin C. This will keep the Bacteria from releasing TTX into your body affecting your nervous system. You are just too Blessed However just do these simple things to keep healthy.
What I admire about Tommy is his ability to switch off his comedian act and talk serious . Most comedians continue with their comedy act on and off the stage, or at least they feel compelled to maybe. I like this serious side to Tommy and that's maybe because I'm not a great fan of comedians because most of the stuff they do and say on stage is not amusing to me. The only comedian I absolutely loved is Billy Connolly. I think he's the greatest live stand up comedian ever. No comedian has ever made me crack up laughing more than Billy Connolly.
