He didnt take air at the bottom guys. That would be fatal. And the mask strength is irrelevant due to the fact that he equalises the pressure on the way down. If you dive with a mask and get a squeeze it is because you are diving incorrectly.

Ascending from 175m? ”No biggie, I’ll one-hand that shit.” And then in the end just staying a bit longer because you can. Epic!

@ManPlusRiver 3 года назад
It's really incredible what he did! I'm pretty sure he took the last 30 feet to the surface slowly, so he didn't black out. Shallow water blackout happens in most often in the top 30 feet of the ascent.
@AJBNord
@AJBNord 3 года назад
@@ManPlusRiver this is quite an unusual reply. Interesting...
@ottoknight1397
@ottoknight1397 3 года назад
The reason is because they aren’t breathing underwater, as they aren’t introducing decompressed air into a compressed environment (their body compresses slightly, so if you go up to fast it forces too much oxygen into the blood basically giving you oxygen poisoning) there’s no need for them to re equalize as there’s no oxygen of varying pressures being introduced to their body! Hence why they can go straight back up
