Andrei Vasilevskiy really put it all on the line for this diving save, jumping across his crease and taking a knee to the head to stop Eric Robinson from scoring.
SquiffedArdvark i’ve played myself about 15 years. I don’t mean they are gonna start a line brawl after every collision but let’s just say, Victor Hedman won’t ask if you’re okay after you collide with his goalie...
It is every players responsibility to ease up on the goalie, yes sometimes it is unavoidable but any contact with a team's goalie must be met with hostility just on principal. Especially when the stakes get higher and a healthy goalie can literally be the difference between winning and losing.
If you think this is bad, they zoomed in on Gallagher's broken jaw at 0:39 here. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CrRVAQ_o54U.html They didn't know his jaw was broken, but it was definitely a lot weirder
I get protecting your goalie, but Vas literlly dove into dude's knee. You can tell by the look on his face, it probably didn't feel great kneeing a goalie mask at 50 mph. Awesome save, clearly not intentional. Just playoff hockey.
Im sorry but its the goalies fault an awkward bounce happened and he shouldnt try to save the puck like whatt.... he was getting something in the way of the net to take up space.
Regular time 60 minutes! Four and a half overtime of 20 minutes! Five breaks of 15 minutes! All sorts of different playing time after the referee's whistle, about 20 minutes left! 😂 .
I understand this isn’t a dirty play but what else was he gonna do it was a move of desperation, did you want him to just sit on the other side because he knew he would get hurt
My issue is with the defenseman trying to fight the kid that kneed Vasy. Obviously accidental, especially since Vasy jumped in harms way. Who are they trying to prove themselves to?
