You only have to play half a season in the NHL to get Vezina nominations now? Bishop & Lehner LoL Can't complain about Vasy taking the win. Played a full season in beast mode.

So being on great team sways the vote apparently. Kind of the Brodeur vs Hasek argument. For me, its Hasek all the way. A great team in front of you means more wins. Use the GAA as main indicator. In that case, Bishop wins it.

@@davidkushmer7708 if shots faced were what mattered than Darcy Kuemper from Phx should get a nod for facing about the same number of shots as Vas, oh and Kuemper had a better save percentage than Vas. My point is valid, he wins because of games won. My point is I think games one isn't best indicator of best goalie. Bobrovsky wins again if he had a better team in front of him.

Bishop should've won that award. Vasy could've let in 3 goals a game and he'd still have 35+ wins. Bishop dragged the Stars into the playoffs! The differences in GAA and SV% are too large to ignore here...

The Vezina is one of the most inconsistent awards the fact that Andersen last season didn't even get nominated carrying one of the worst defensive teams in the league is just ridiculous Vasilevskiy is great but with all the talent Tampas defense has to help him he's a bit overrated especially after Columbus had him shook in the playoffs Lol

@@sabihfaraz6732 not overrated at all that's been the lightnings problem is defense. Vasy made them look better defensively then what they were last year once the playoffs started they slept on the jackets and the defense played even worse. Vasy was tired and couldn't bail them out and he wasn't responsible for most of those goals in postseason. Not to blame vasy at all for that

Personally I think leaner should’ve won he beat all of his diversity and he was 2nd in every category, Bishop had top goals against then lehner, vasi had top save percentage and lehner only played half the season as greiss played other half.

Bro this should’ve belonged to Ben Bishop straight up I’m still salty as hell. Not downplaying vasilevskiy he’s one hell of a goalie but he only got it cuz of the wins that the president’s trophy offense got him. Like in the playoffs that forward and defense left him to die

There is nothing the NHL can convince me that this guy is better than Bishop. Nothing. Even taking out playoffs, he was better in the regular season. Wins are a rigged stat. I am triggered.
