His view of the friendship between the *characters* of zuckerberg and saverin is nice yeah, but the wider take on the social network that he opens with is total nonsense lol. It's an incredibly dated 2014 boomer mom "what if the social networks are actually antisocial networks 🤯?" trite sentiment that it both untrue and not what sorkin's script is about at all.
He is one of my favorite actors, not only because he is a great actor and has his own acting style but as a human being too, a wonderful, kind and honest person. He is genuine and thoughtful
Still probably the hypest I’ve been at the theater since I was a child. Literally jumped up and cheered with the rest of the audience when we first saw them.
He was the only one he portrayed himself as an actual spider when he faught the way he wrapped around fox croc or how he was using his webs in the sewer to find his location.
The guy feels such real-life person. He doesn't hesitate in admitting he didn't want to do something, or saying the F word. Not afraid to be himself in a conversation. And yes, I also clicked for the social network...and 99 HOMES
I still believe to this day that TASM didn't deserve the hate it got and that it deserved a third movie. casually leaving a series with a cliff hanger is brutal
For real. Its a shame that we didnt get to see more of Andrews spiderman on the big screen and how his universe played out after. But at least his character had a bittersweet conclusion to his story in NWH, as well as Tobeys spiderman.
Sure people will play favourites, but I don't think TASM was the problem. A poorly developed, let's shoe-horn a rushed sinister 6 plot in, TASM2 was the death knell
@@OCMRick Oh yeah definitely. Also the promo for TASM2 was that it was suppose to have 3 main villains jammed into 1 movie, because the people making it thought "more villains = more toys = more money!" And GG and Rhino didn't even make it past 5 minutes of screen time. That was dissapointing when I watched it in theatres.
Andrew is genuinely himself and it shows in every role he’s ever had. His authenticity connects with the audience and makes the characters he plays believable and makes us care about and relate to them.
One of the best filmographies of any actor. Wish they would have had him talk about "Under the Banner of Heaven," considering how it contrasts with "Silence" and "Hacksaw Ridge" in terms of how it is about someone losing their faith as opposed to those films which are about a deep reverence for it.
Such an underrated film, I am surprised it didn't do better considering it had Andrew and the director was coming off a career defining hit (It Follows)
It had a weird release. The US release was pushed back multiple times and then it came out on streaming less than a week after it was released in theaters. It also wasn't advertised as much as it could have been.
That scene on the bridge with the kid Jack that more then I think any scene shows why I love spiderman so much while tom Holland handle the big story as much as id want anyone to that scene shows so much why I love this character. Always look out for the little guy.
Andrew Garfield's entire interview is about other people and how amazing they are. That is such a treat. I would watch anything he was in just to support but he is also amazing and talented himself. What a wonderful interview.
I’m so happy it’s become a thing now for my generation, the kids who grew up with stars like Andrew and Hayden Christensen, to let them know that even when it seemed everything was always negative that they were always loved because now we have a voice
He's so articulate. And I'm not just saying that because I'm a dumb American fooled by his accent. He has a really precise, thoughtful way of expressing himself.
Andrew has one of the best quotes describing acting. It’s during his Actors on Actors conversation with Zendaya. He says “Acting is imaginative empathy.”
His performance alongside Heath ledger in his final film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus was when I knew this kid was going to be a star & I called him out as who I thought could be a great Spiderman. And turns out, he's the BEST Spiderman. It's a crime he hasn't won an Oscar yet, especially for Hacksaw Ridge. But I know he will. He's the most versatile actor of his generation hands down. He'll win an Emmy as well. Got snubbed for his performance in Under The Banner of Heaven.
@@elenagaydarova2496 Yes. He played the one of side character of Frank in The Daleks In Manhattan/Evolution of Daleks 2 parter which are episodes 4 & 5 of 3 series of modern who (or Season 29 total) back in 2007 before he was a star.
Still one of the most moving performances I've ever seen was his character in Never Let Me Go. I feel that gets overlooked but when he commits fully and encapsulates all of the emotions of the film in 1 scream it's beautiful and devastating.
I really didn't expect it to be on the list, it feels like one of the types they'd leave off or forget ab, based on previous break down videos. I really Loved Boy A, when I first watched it all those years ago, I could hardly believe that they'd made it into a film, I had read and loved the book as a kid.
@@DetectiveTrupo203I’m convinced most of y’all have no idea how aging works Andrew does not look like he’s in his 20s he looks middle age and that’s ok he looks his age..
Very glad 'Angels in America' was highlighted here. Due to Garfield's (and the entire cast's) peformance, I ended up seeing both acts three times, and I can not compliment the stamina and effort required enough. One of the best performances I have seen on stage near to a decade. Well worth watching if you get the chance.
One of the few actors I truly respect and love, Andrew is genuinely nice has empathy and has not lost his soul because of all the stardom of Hollywood, he's just a student of acting and also the best Spiderman ❤
I am a super comic book nerd and of all the Spidermen Andrew was the ultimate best. I wish they made more Spiderman movies with him but at least surprisingly he did make it into the current Spiderman movie. Just know Andrew was the best Spiderman.
