After the Tyson embarrassment Golota stayed away from boxing for a few years and came back against Byrd. He did look pretty good against Byrd and I thought he did enough to win the fight. But he was still a much slower, 36 year old version of Golota at that time and his left jab wasn't as good as it was in the 90s before the accident. Had Golota fought Byrd in the 90s when he was in his prime Golota would have knocked Byrd out.
One of Golota's least entertaining fights. Many don't know, but only months before this fight Golota was in a head on collision with a semi which killed his friend who was in the passenger seat. Golota permanently injured his left shoulder. Watching this fight, it is clear Golota's left jab is not the same as it was when he fought Bowe. And he's slapping more with his punches. Golota's prime ended in that mangled car on the side of the road. Plus, Al Certo was no Lou Duva.
Guess he needed a strong opponent to get back in shape after the accident. That shoulder is probably why he refused to fight on with Tyson. Even a neck cramp can prevent a boxer from punching.
@@zbysiu100 Andrzej walczy technicznie, on zawsze szuka i czeka na błąd rywala wtedy wyprowadzał akcję ( Prawy prosty, prawy prosty, lewy prosty ) i rywal lądował na deskach.
Wow!10 round is better than all the fights that take place today. In that time boxers wants to fight, wants to ko his opponent, today its only boxing chess.
Lou didnt train fighters he just worked corners he wasnt nothing but a cornerman who was the promoter too who hid under the cover of a trainer but he did know how to train but he wasnt in camps he was promoting main Events fighters..He and his kids own Main Events
"...Andrzej spokojnie!" :) It's obvious that a wife is concerned for his husband, and it's surely not for the score... Thanks for uploading! PS. (...especially if the husband has to fight Golota... :) )
Norris got robbed again. There's no way that a light-hitting small guy backs a big-hitting big guy around the ring for 10 rounds without winning the nod.
Exactly Lou just was a cornerman he wasnt in camp for 3 month Lou owned Main Events and had contracts with Golota Holyfield Whitaker Forrest Bobby Cyz and Vinny Pazienza Ray Mercer and Lou just pretended he was training them.
Good action fight between Golota and Norris. I thought Norris won every round,he backed up Golota alot and landed alot more. I like Golota but i think he lost this fight by a mile.
Lou Duva was garbage..Roger Bloodworth was the brains in that corner. Al Certo was a good trainer to Buddy McGirt. He should have retired when Buddy did.
