Canberra man Andrew Hunt is the first patient to have been successfully revived after suffering a massive pulmonary embollis. Clinically dead for 22 minutes, he was brought back through a combination of local expertise and the ingenuity of the ECMO device, an invention of Sydney's Royal Prince Alfred hospital.
