He can't even be in the same sentence as the word G.OA.T he hasn't done fuckall for the game except his stupid comments I swear I'll folg Andrew Johns if I see him
He changed rugby league and put it to a standard that it is now ... Thurston is no match in everything a complete halfback should be, he's weak in defense bt attack he's ok
@@rogernewman8432 You clearly have no idea about Rugby League. You should probably not provide your opinions again, ever. There's a reason why QLD dominated NSW year after year after year after year after year, to the point the NRL started considering to bring in new States as it became a detriment to the game as QLD just thrashed NSW every year, after year, after year. When did Andrew Johns achieve that for NSW? Oh wait, he didn't. Thurston did. Year after year after year after year.
@@DontGoThereYouWontComeBack Gotta remember QLD had who? Inglis Cronk Smith Slater Thurston Lockyer and so much more. Johns revolutionised the game and changed how Halfbacks play today, Thurston and Lockyer would go on to learn from him. Johns battled injuries throughout his career yet he was the ultimate xfactor. Goat and no 1 will ever compare to him
The GOAT was on Coke and other drugs. What Johns did, every fucking kid did down at their local parks back in the days. He didn't invent shit. He learnt from others. It wasn't natural born talent.
@J G I see you're videos all over a rugby League sites, I've never added a comment to your pathetic comment you always leave. 1, it's Football not soccer. A true football fan would never write the word soccer 2, 4billion people ? You truly are off your head. Alot of the world follow ( football ) alot of people do. I'd say close to a billion. 4 billion 😂😂😂 3, Rugby League the most exciting sport In the world. 4, In (soccer) you are lucky if you celebrate once while at or watching a game. 0 - 0 mean everyone wasted there time , didn't get to cheer once 😂🤯😂
I was born in 99 and still remember John's playing from 04-07 and remember being upset when he retired. I'm a dragon's supporter but he always was and will be my favourite player.
8:46 "I'd like to thank everyone for letting me be involved" 🤣 because they were saying he shouldn't play since he's only played 9 games in 2 seasons - turns out the maestro and GOAT dominated anyway, as we knew he would
All champion players seemed to make it look easy and have plenty of time to make choices in a game. What a legend. In 2012 I was at the Grand Final between Bulldogs VS Storm - that was the day Andrew Johns became an Immortal. He was brought onto the ground by SWAT Helicopter. It was special.
@M Australia has 4 football codes. Soccer is more popular world wide because it’s not as rough and only very tough people play Rugby League and most mums don’t want their kids playing. It’s also cheaper to play soccer so more people can afford it and can play anywhere.
I always felt back then that if Johns was out Qld. had a chance. I think Thurston at his best was almost there and JTs kicking was also brilliant. Alfie was fantastic, but Johns was the sort of guy who could win it on his own. It was pretty horrible to watch him as a Qlder but i appreciated his brilliance.
He played half-back in 1995 (NSW lost). He played half-back in 1998 (NSW lost). He played half-back in 1999 (Drawn). He played from the bench in 2000 (NSW won). He played half-back again in 2002 (NSW lost). He finally dominates Origin at half-back in 2003 (NSW won) & then has his legendary two games in 2005. But the record of Johns in Origin doesn't even come close to what Thurston did for Qld. Johns had less than 5 stand-out performances in Origin across a decade.
@@blindbunker777 shows that you should Google the results before making an off the cuff claim from memory hey!! ☺️ anyway I hold JT in extremely high esteem
@@blindbunker777 Thurston did have Smith, Inglis, Slater, Cronk etc around him. If Johns had that calibre of players in the Blues' team..... Would choose Johns every day of the week.
Andrew Johns is the greatest footballer that has ever lived, not just halfback, he is the most well-rounded player that’s ever graced this earth…. His defence, his control of a game, his ability to single handedly win games for his team, his vision, he has it all
@M we not talking about soccer we talking about rugby league Andrew was a awesome player I remember watching him from the grass hill in Newcastle abosulatly the best days he could read players before they even throw the ball go Joey 😍♥️
Toward the end of his career he started experimenting with his kicks as well, kicking torpedo like bombs from the kickoff t. He wasn't just doing the simple stuff right, he was trying new things. I think the kickoff T might be against the rules now though.
@J G That's why Andrew Johns stopped playing soccer to play Rugby League and became the best in the game. El Masri said cya soccer and became the best goal kicker in the game. Settle down mate, you're making people hate soccer, you dork! 🤣🤣
@@Matt-vr5zk Doesn't mean they have to use the same copypasta on a every other sport video on RU-vid. I've seen this twat on AFL videos, NRL, NFL and NHL and lets be real here. Ice Hockey shits all over soccer XD
@@Matt-vr5zk I guess soccer is a world game. I love all sports. AJ even played cricket for a bit. wasn't great at it but at least he gave it a go. I like when players switch codes, like Israel filauo and Karmichael Hunt
A good player AJ, but he is thee worst commentator in the game, he talks n talks about about absolutely nothing that makes any sense, he dribbles on with so much shit
