Andrew is not bored, he’s just really tired. That right there is him AFTER a whole day of filming (they made light of this in another q&a they were part of.) These 2 are brilliant in their own art respectively, and their rapport is lovely. They have a huge mutual respect. (Side note: there is no getting tired of looking at Andrew Scott, that’s the handsomeness that keeps on giving.)

You’re absolutely right. The newer q & a is fascinating, funny, and quite worth multiple viewings. Andrew definitely jokes about how tired he was here, since he had just filmed the video for Sea Wall all day, which he explained was emotionally exhausting.

Andrew is getting a lot of attention, quite rightly, for what is a truly wonderful performance in this film, but I would just like to raise my voice for Simon, without whom non of us would be here. It's difficult to go into specifics without spoiling it for those who haven't seen the film yet, so I'll just say this; if it's possible for a playwright to be the subject of a random count me in. Finally, in the unlikely chance you should ever read this.........THANK YOU.

Wisely, you saved the best for last. Very interesting to learn the back story and especially interesting to hear how the audience reacted and Andrew interacted with them. Oh, and PLEASE take it on the road! Love the movie. Glad you had the foresight to film this playwright/actor conversation. It's valuable for the history of theater.

He does look bored, but as he’s said during a later q & a, that he was exhausted during this interview. He’s wearing the same clothes n this video as in the film because they had just filmed Sea Wall numerous times in a row, just before this video. He has said that doing the play is emotionally exhausting, so it’s understandable that he’s drained here. The film is beautiful and his hard work is evident.
