+Sophie Downton I disagree with the majority of the public. A gay and Irish Moriarty is just not right. He was more sophisticated and stern, and what made him so formidable was his lack of presence. In the series he's everywhere and he's too energetic it's just not right. I don't like it, it ruins Sherlock Holmes for me.
Ah, I see. Personally I think he makes a very good Moriarty, but I guess everyone thinks differently of him. There was a big buildup in the show before he arrived that I found worked, but if you didn't like it then it's cool, and I'm sorry to hear it ruins it for you :/

i really want andrew scott and tom hiddleston to collaborate together for a film or something because they are both excellent actors, and they are brilliant as their villain roles. it would be something so exciting to look forward to !

His eyes are so damn twinkly! It makes me think he's half angel, even though he plays a villain. Love this guy, he certainly knows how to sculpt the perfect maniac! I hope to see him in much more stuff :)

I so love his sweet voice! and his laugh is adorable! I just look at him, or just hear his voice... and the first thing that I say is "aaaawwww" ...let's love this guy as a proud Scottie I am :)
I love how the British or Irish, I'm not sure which the lady in the audience was she sounded British to me, are so calm and collected. If this had been in the U.S. and one of us had won that ticket we would have fangirled all over the place. "Do you want to ask Andrew anything?" "No, just well done." What???

I am and always have been a HUGE Sherlock Holmes fan and the Moriarty character he plays isn't quite like the "real" Moriarty...BUT...I really loved (instantly) where Andrew Scott took him.
You're right. I hope so too and I'm very sure he does. ;) I wish I would have noticed him earlier. Here in Germany he is not yet as well known as in the UK and Ireland.
his "darkness" on screen reminds me of Ledger's Joker...both are completely unpredictable and totally Machiavellian, which makes both characters more frightening then they already are.

I'm really glad that I did not know him from any of his other work. It might have been hard for me to see him as Moriarty if I had. Same with Benedict, I really didn't know much about him before Sherlock either. Seriously though, they are going to have to do something about this making 3 or 4 episodes every 2 years. They started in their 30's and will be old before the 10th series rolls around.
@quietastronaut BBC tweeted that Benedict forgot they were supposed to "nearly" kiss so they had to re-shoot the scene. So apparently they did actually kiss.
God, he's so thin. I love how he had to hide his face from embarrassment when the old guy was in the audience. Some people I introduced his work to also thought he was 26, shocked to know he's 37. He was in his groove with folding the clothes like he was back at home lol
