@1:32 I love the fact that with all of the new tech and we still have what looks like an awesome Lexicon 480! (The larger white box on the right of the mixer) :D That is some tech that never will get old, unless you have some SSL effects. lol
I was thinking JUST THAT!!! He says he uses the on board emulation of the 480 (@20:54) while that lovely little controller is sitting right next to the console. Hey. Maybe that’s why: it looks so lovely
Ha! "The fact that I can do effects in this desk, in a church in Tulsa"... Hilarious, it's amazing what you can do with literally a million dollars of audio equipment!
First time I have seen this video and when I initially saw him on the video the first thing that popped in my mind was the risk for cardiac issues. You must understand, I am a retired firefighter-paramedic and ER nurse, so these factors strike me when I see a large obese person. I sure hate to hear that he passed away -- so much experience forever gone :(
Jesus love you, he died on the cross for you, accept him as your lord and savior he can change everything. For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life" (Jn 3:16" But you must repent too. From that time Jesus went about preaching and saying, Let your hearts be turned from sin, for the kingdom of heaven is near. (Matthew 4:17)…
maybe just maybe the realization is that if the world can do things top notch why can't the body of Christ do things top notch? do you think you're going to attract the millenial generation which pretty much despises God and things of God with stain glass windows and chants like monty python.
That is true but not true at the same time. Music and the arts belong to God and there is no better place for that than the church.God's people should be in position to help attract the lost.
Indie Last You took the words right out of my mouth! When I hear this guy talk what I hear is so secular. They are not leading a congregation in TRUE WORSHIP...they are performing a concert.
While one can appreciate professionalism, what I hear is all about the show and the concert experience. I have been to COTM, if this was their goal they truly have achieved that. Same church that has their small groups geared around whatever your favorite thing to do is.... Golf for example. Becomes little more thatn a huge money making entertainment venue. With the Bible and the Lord included in it all. Leaves us spiritually and inch deep and a mile wide.
That may not be the foh mix, there may be a broadcast mix separate, could be the engineer, or it could bbe they are streaming the foh mix, with the changes that have been made to accomodate the room and system
@@camtheham13 They do not do a separate broadcast mix. It comes of the board time aligned to audience mix in a matrix with some separate eq and compression.
