He was 45 when I was born. He taught me how to fish, he taught me how to shoot, he taught me how to fight, he taught me how to drive, he taught me to be good a man, not a “nice guy”. When I got my license he told me: With this license you have been give a lot of responsibility at a very young age. Never do anything that will dishonor my last name. He passed on 12/5/22at the age of 95. I miss him every day.

I was a single mother after a marriage breakdown. I had two Sons, age 7 and age 13. I was known as a tiger Mum as I was often called to the school as my Sons remained true to the values I instilled in them. I set up a business enabling me to be home with them. I took the responsibility of raising strong men very seriously. I refused to let society dictate how boys from single mother would turn out. I wholeheartedly agree with Andrew. Your children are yours and it’s your job to instil strong morals so they can stand up for themselves, to be the absolute best they can be, to believe they’re exceptional and to be proud of your family name.

I love listening to this guy. He puts in to words what I think so efficiently. The reason so many people dislike him is because they know the people Tate find’s responsible for the mess we’re in, is them.

Tate nailed it. I am that 160k/yr family with six kids having to face all those problem. My kids are great. Values, religion, family, morals. Talk to your kids. Have dinner together. Vacation together. Three of my kids are in their mid 20’s. We are still together for every holiday, vacation, birthday. Most important, I tell them the truth so they know when they are being lied to or manipulated.

I’m an old fashioned man, raised by my WW2 Italian grandfather and my southern grandmother. My dad was a PGA pro that allowed his wife to limit his time with my brother and I. My two sons are 13 and 15, but both have birthdays soon. I’ve taught them to be men, to the best of my ability even though they haven’t been with me full time since 2018. I’ve battled the school’s teachings. I moved from Arizona back to Dublin, Ohio to put them in one of the best public schools in the country. I absolutely decided from their birth that I’d one day get back to my hometown in Ohio to give them a great environment and best school. Unfortunately, I couldn’t keep them forever and now they’re back in Arizona with their mother and I have to hope that my teachings stick through the bullshit they get fed. Every day that I speak to them, I continue to drill into their heads they are men and why it’s important to be honest, astute and strong men.

I’ll never forget they used the term “jocks” they were painting all athletes with the widest brush as stupid kids that were all bullies. I admire the financial independence of people, But you can live better if you work a little more. After watching this I think there are people out there, on the extreme, who plan to die early just to be able to retire early. To each their own but to me retirement isn't just about not having to work, it's about having the freedom to do whatever you might reasonably want, such as travel, buying things, enjoying life, etc. I don't think I could retire with less than $3m in income generating investments, maybe $2m at the very minimum. I plan to work until I'm at least 45.

This guy is so right. I’m 51 now. I was a world class swimmer, then made millions on the trading floor, then it was all down hill marrying a woman raised by a feminist. They strip you of your manhood bit by bit. Then divorced, I had no power over my kids. I stuck it out, my son is a college baller etc. but it was a fight I’d never recommend to anyone. They use you, they beat you down etc they forget 100 yrs ago they couldn’t survive without you. I have instilled standards into them!Because of how I raised them they share those points with friends and protect those close to them. I am that average parent that is not wealthy and I talk with my kids about these issues all the time. It is not that difficult, all you have to do is show them how the schools or media is trying to manipulate them. They go to public schools and yet they are brave enough to stand up for their opinion by themselves while the rest of the class goes against them. I teach them that they need to stand up for their opinions but that they also need to be respectful.

I was a teenager in the 50s. My parents loved me and i knew it. I has rules in my life. I wanted to graduate from high school but the reason i really wanted to was for my mom and dad. I remember how proud they were. It was wonderful. Families were close and their,was peace in the home. It was a wonderful time to grow up

I was not a fan of Andrew T., but listening to him I have changed my mind. I like what he says about family honor eg. And, masculinity. Shape up or ship out. I grew up respecting my parents, teachers, coaches and adult people.

Only thing id mention about the motivation issue, which I have lots of personal experience with as a 22 year old male having grown up in this cespool of a society, is that a young person struggles to find their place in this day and age. It seems to them like everything has already been done, and that they are just a tiny cog in the machine that dosent matter no matter how hard they could try. It becomes very difficult to break that mindset, especially when all the pressures and pain of life bears down and theres no foundation to stand on because it was never taught to be important growing up. I tried to die a few years ago after an 8 year depression filled with athiestic nihilism. Not to say I didnt have fun times, but I never felt like I had any kind of purpose, I think in a way my intelligence screwed me because I could see and feel the system using me and forcing me to think how it wanted me to. I hated school as a kid, and hardly anyone understood how I felt. All that is to say that young men growing up now have challenges that most people wouldnt understand much less could they imagine them because the modern technological age is intoxicating. I am seriously afraid for the youth now who grow up with Ipads and the madness that exists in the culture war now. I was lucky to survive my intentional car crash, and to eventually snap myself out of my depression with the help of LSD (even if you arent a fan of drugs, they can certainly have their uses as seen in PTSD studies, though im not a fan of 'feel good' drugs. they are pathetic). Still have alot of room to grow personally, but I think its important to be empathetic and understanding toward the situation men find themselves in. So I appreciate these talks because alot of men need to hear these things.

Andrew is 100% correct, I was born in 60s, a teen in 70s, grew up in Eastern L.I.N.Y., it starts with family. Dad worked, mom raised kids, 11 of us. School, H.S.sports, chores, outside playing. Dad raised us to respect mom, by extension respect women, our sisters, and don't let anyone disrespect our family name. Big Italian family, and every kid behaved or our parents would tell other parents, the whole street was like my extended family. Even though our neighbours were, German, polish, Italian, black, Puerto Rican..etc Parents needed children to make them proud, and children feared Dad's if we did anything wrong. The last 20 yrs I watched real pride & religion take a back seat, and telling children they have same rights as adults.. No, they have the rights parents allow, and adults when we're 18. I lived it, grew up in it, and the 1990s-early 2000's was the last time we had any concept of pride in family & country.

Good point about honor and pride. The next realization to make, perhaps, is that your honor and pride isn't issued to you by the state. Not from your family or your friends can honor and pride be extracted because self respect is a gift you offer to the world. Self-respect is your responsibility for what you have been given. The easy way to be loved by others is to be respectable by holding yourself to a standard that is just a little higher than your chin.
