Hurdy gurdy make me feel as if I am experiencing the human condition through sound alone. It's beautiful, yet somber. When I sit and listen to this instrument, I feel an eerie connection to reality that I suspect most people are not consciously aware of. Music truly is a universal language.

What an incredible performance! He appears meek and unassuming, but he's anything but that. Absolutely hypnotic and mesmerising - Andrey's playing is hauntingly beautiful, and full of emotion. He even incorporates tuning changes as part of the show, and it sounds natural - not out of place at all. Truly a masterful performance on an underappreciated musical instrument! Bravissimo!

This is just fantastic. Gorgeous music. Previously I had associated the Hurdy Gurdy with Breton music. The tunes he is playing seem to have much more diverse origins.

It would take 3 violins and a cello to keep up with this instrument. Wonderful! I guess there are only 2 or 3 hurdy-gurdy virtuosos in the world, and you're certainly one of them.

Imagine if you got together with some other people and made a musical piece combining the Hurdy Gurdy with the Handpans. Maybe add the Hammered Dulcimer and other uncommon instruments into the mix. Make something truly unique and special. Although the Hurdy Gurdy and the Handpans are the instruments I really wish to see together.

@@user-rb4eg9xk4t Hi Михаил, It's obvious this is not a Bulgarian folk music and yes, everyone here knows Andrey is a Russian composer. It's just that that part is from a Bulgarian folk song (Rhodope mountain region) that sound really unique and interesting when played with Hurdy-Gurdy. Stay safe! :)
