@@aidanc-oc1dd You still can enable it in the developer options, but it doesnt have a great graphic ui, just that odd window you already know from the first betas.
Don't update the system to Android 10. It drains my battery. Slow down the screen reaction. My gmail and play store app keep crashing. Felt back to a 2G phone. Waiting for the bugs to be fixed. My pixels phone works great before this update.
Nothing new for me actually I already have a lot of these features in my Galaxy S8 running pie, system wide dark mode including third party app using synergy app, quick app swapping is also there on pie on S8, that screen rotation is also there.
No one seems to be talking about the fact that they tweaked the 2-button gesture navigation also. It brings over some of the features of the new gestures, and makes them more "fluid" in my opinion. Since the new back gesture is a deal breaker for me, I'll be sticking with the 2-button version and actually like the changes.
I've got an OnePlus and my device received Android 10 yesterday. OnePlus 6 will receive by the end of the month and 5 by the end of the year. What's up with the click bait title?
You skipped right over the most important bits The gesture controls All that other stuff was already available in some form or the other on Samsung phones
i got android 10 two days ago and its an incremental update but a welcome one.they ve made it a bit tighter and functional as well and some nice aesthetic changes...
I ABSOLUTELY HATE that you can't choose pop on screen WHILE showing SILENTLY, I want to see notifications not hear them but if I put my phone on silent I might miss calls, there should be a only calls mode
All of you that are sad you won't be getting android 10 in the next 3+ months, don't be. If you didn't get it Immediately that's because you don't have pixel which means you probably have some android skin such as one ui miui emui, etc. and all of them have pretty much every android 10 feature(except things like live caption; you won't get these with android 10 anyway) for a long time so android 10 won't bring anything new to your phone.
I'm looking forward to giving apps permissions only when I am using the app, and the phone wide dark mode. The rest is... ehhhh. Maybe I am using my phone wrong?
Re: 5:30 - Glad to see that they have permissions for everything under the sun but that we still have no control over which app gets network access and which doesn't - probably the most important privacy related permission next to location and it's still absent.
@@vankatad It's one of those features that you don't need very often, but there are situations where it's incredibly handy. For instance if you want to share content with somebody whose phone number or e-mail you don't have.
@@kennethcox9883 it's not bad.I just got the S10+ and it's a great phone but it's definitely a learning curve. There'a a lot to digest when switching over especially if you're deep in the Apple ecosystem. I only have apple products so it's a bit of a downside especially with things like airdrop and of course iMessage. There's just nothing like it lol. But the freedom and customization is a dream!
@@leon6906 I find very slight difference with battery... I think it's getting better. Because when I use playmoji in the camera, battery drains a lot. Now it doesn't drain that much.
ANDROID 10 IS AWESOME!!! Refiment, it is faster than before and My pixel 3 received a new life after it. Good one, I am happy with the new gestures (FINALLY!!!!) -the other one was a really bad idea-.
Pretty excited for this update. Definitely wamt to give the new gestures a try. I'm a little hesitant, but I was with the android Pie update as well, and have loved them. Only took around two days to get used to them. The security updates and the ability to change media play position in the dropdown will aslo be very welcomed. Just have to wait for Samsung to make their own version....
Some Google apps that come preloaded onto Pixel phones still don't support the new dark theme. I'm sure by the time Pixel 4 releases Android 10 will be finished. In the mean time I'm still enjoying Android 10 even if it's not fully finished
True, I'm using the Pixel 3 with Android 10, and it's still a little buggy. But those problems most likely will be fixed by the time the new Google Phone comes out!!
The color customization and color theming is live in this update. Ive already use them. You can change the accent color and shape of the icons. It’s pretty cool. It’s in the developer options at the bottom.
Every new recent version just includes few changes, but I think is reasonable. We have mobile operational systems that are so improved today that what is missing to improve is just interface and privacy (and maybe battery control).
And it's funny how people say Samsung doing too much yet all the features they gawk at are sitting on current Samsung UI. One UI is cleaner and faster so why should I settle for a dull android experience then get excited when new features (currently on one ui) are included in the update. It's just so bland. But clean so I guess that's good. Still I love my note 10 plus and don't care when android Q shows up
For those of us who weren't using Stock Android, we have most of these features already. That being said, Stock Android has never looked this exciting. They've got my interest.
IF THAT. With the recent news of the split between google/android and Huawei idk how past phones will be in terms of updates. Cuz american companies are banned from providing resources to /working with Huawei...in the case of android and huawei iirc they got an extension till nov 2019, but even then not sure how thing will fall. Google seems to be erring on the side of caution with these things (example: IMMEDIATELY moving manufacturing out of china the moment trump said his thing urging companies to do so).
Its been minor updates for android for many years now.Infact apple has upped their games iOS 13 and added much more feature and UI improvements. I hope google consider changing UI now as it has been same for 3-4 android iteration.
Your oxygen os will end up in the same pit of dead os like Firefox OS, Ubuntu touch, Windows mobile and other crap. Have fun not having any support or any apps
So, anyone with a OnePlus6 and on and a Samsung device with One UI is currently living in the future, as 95% of those features have been built into Android 9 months ago.
@uwu グーチ owo no body cares about those shitty nasty Androids. Apple took something from them and made it 10x better and smoother, while Google took apples gestures but failed miserably. Apple is a trend setter while Android manufacturers are all just copycats
@@andrikh4982 Samsung didn't make bezelless displays, they had huge top and bottom bezels. Android's all STILL have ugly chin bezels, while iPhones have much cleaner symmetrical bezels all around. After apple users the notch, ALL the Android manufacturers put notches on their phones. Who's the real copycat 🤔
Dude it's a new update, it will take time for it to be more efficient/smooth. Additionally, you can set animation speed on Android to 1.5x to get the IOS "Smoothness". The only thing you get with an apple phone is the apple logo nothing else. (Call me when you can download mp3s and mp4s on ios)
Wow!! Android 10 is coming. What exciting features I'll be able to see. Google - *We for the first time added a Global Dark mode* Also some battery optimisation.
Just take one day... And count features tht provides Android 10 and so called ios 13... 🙄 And Android phones don't gets slow after update... As bloody apple do.... By downclocking processes... To save small shit battery NVR COMPARE FATHER WITH SON(APPLE)... FATHER IS ALWAYS REMAIN FATHER (GOOGLE)
Lol, for the feature set, customization, and absolute ton of things Android can DO that iOS CAN'T... Sure, I'll take the maybe 1% less consistent experience! Manage an Android device properly and power cycle once a week and these things are powerhouse pocket computers that you CAN MAKE YOUR OWN! I highly doubt iOS will ever be able to match Android... And seeing as Tim Cook loves to claim iOS is the world's most powerful and advanced mobile... that's sad!
One Plus's gesture navigation is still better. The back gesture should be at the bottom. I hope Google will let users remap the assistant gestures from the corners to back gestures like in one plus.
No mention of why they got rid of the share beam, it's been replaced by Google files go which works flawless ,it's like apple air drop but better because u can send more ,like apk and so on and it's in the drop down so it's built in now if downloaded
I'm glad the three button thing is there still. It's reliable and makes sense. All these gestures are going to be super annoying when playing games... Also the two swipe up to app drawer is specific to the pixel launcher so the gesture is not really that useful anyway unless you're on the pixel launcher. Can you give permissions other than location temporarily? Also, does it mean that an app loses location permission when it's in the background? That'll be super annoying when switching between say a map and texting... They couldn't do something like the Bouncer app? Everything is half-implemented with Google. It's really annoying.
