Loved my RokForm mount, but you need the rubber insulator, without it my phone's camera kept breaking. Ram mounts are great if u can get over the bulk. God Bless, nice bike!
I have the WHIM install on both my 2014 Street Glide and my 2019 Street Glide. I have use both Harley Branded head sets and Sena. The only difference is if you listen to radio music over the head set the Sena is not in stereo. This is not an issue for me. I always listen to the radio over he bike speakers. I only bought the WHIM to be able to answer the phone while riding.
When connected to Sena and Boom via bluetooth, you can be connected to both, you just need to long press the settings on Boom and Sena under bluetooth connections menu. You can pick choose what audio you want to go to which device
My ciro 3D phone mount holds my phone nice and tight. Easy to get the phone in and out. (Always have to remember to get my phone when I park the bike). Hahahaha
@NVA Rider - upgrade my 6.5 GT to the 6.5 GTS on my 18 RG...love the super fast speed of the radio over the GT. Question - had my phone connected via BT to my GT radio and now my GTS but never had AA before, do you still connect it via BT or via the USB port now? or does it do it automatically once you plug it in. I took a short ride yesterday, it connected via BT but i could not get my music apps to work (volume), music showed up on the screen but no volume.
You mentioned it dropping out, mine drops out constantly. So much that it's basically unusable. I've tried all kinds of different cables, did all the updates on the phone and boom but hasn't helped. If I unplug it and plug it back in it starts working again but not safe to do while riding. I haven't bought a phone holder yet, am waiting to see if I can get it to stay connected. I did have the phone in a lifeproof case and in the glovebox, so was thinking it may have been getting too hot and cutting out.
When I was trying to use it I was just putting my phone in the little compartment where the USB plug is. I was thinking the cable was getting bumped. We'll see. I have a new phone mount. Hoping it will help.
You using the real Sena or HD branded? I know Sena models there is a work around and also might only get it to work in 1 ear. Let me know your setup and will get with my friend that is an HD tech and has really played with the new Boom audio. I am trying to get him to allow me to record a session with some updates that need to be done both HD and Sena equipment wise.
I am going to say neither. I haven't added anything and if it didn't come with it stock, neither are there. My phone is connected via bluetooth to the Boom system and my sena to my phone. Weird neither of those came up when I was searching for ways to connect my 50S to the bike. Maybe I wan't using the proper search terms.
@@NVARider You need to install a WHIM. You connect your phone to the bike and then connect your headset to your bike. I don't connect the headset to my phone. I flashed everything to the latest revisions and it works great. I thought I'd have to buy the Harley branded stuff but I don't. I'm using a SENA 20S EVO on a Shoei X-14, and a SENA 10u (integrated into a Shoei GT Air) with zero issues and it sounds great. Having to buy the WHIM really ticked me off. My 2017 Indian Chieftain had that functionality from the factory. I could've bought the Challenger but I really like the Road Glide better. The dealership agreed to sell the WHIM to me at cost and flash the radio for the WHIM for free. It's worth it. Just bite the bullet and do it. BTW, I've only had the bike for two days so.....
