It's possible to change normal photos of objects to portraits by just focusing on the object by tapping on it while taking the photo, because then it will store the depth info. :) 6:04

The Pro series pricing in India is wild with the taxes placed on foreign made phones. Here in Canada the Z fold 5 is way more expensive than the 15 pro max. It's part of the reason why they've not caught on here as much. A top end iphone ends up being noticeably cheaper than a flagship foldable.

but after IOS 17 even older models, have that portrait feature where you change the focus by tapping where you want, I tried in my iPhone 13 I can see it was changing focus point, but only thing is photos has to be taken in portrait mode.

Yeah well, it's apple and people forgive apple no matter what they do cause people just care about brand and not the product. Someone's surely going to comment that "60 hz is better optimised on iPhone" or "it's not a noticeable difference" and blah blah. I think people are just blind. Apple is becoming anti consumer. High prices, low specs, low repairability. Apple has already removed the sim card tool in us. They will remove the cable next time. But people will just accept it. Props to Eu for taking steps. I think countries should start objecting apple's decisions

Tech reviewers mostly being soft towards Apple. If a mid-range Android smartphone has 60hz display under 30k they would burn the Android to the ground.

It's a bummer but iPhone's screen and other build quality factors make up for it.I literally tried my 120 hz one plus 9r side by side iPhone 15 plus and didn't see while lot of difference, in fact iphones screen was overall much more shaper and brighter. My OnePlus seemed too dull in comparison despite higher refresh rate

But they trying to save more money from it and people still buy. In that price range any smartphone whether it's iPhone or Android comes 60hz display is not justifiable.

The AI processing on images provided by Google One is more powerful anyways. And it's well integrated into the Google photos gallery app. So if one wants to do artificial blur, magically erase people/objects from background, etc. - can be done smoothly on any phone.

I have never used iPhone for a long period with all other apple stuff.. but iPad and AirPods work really well.. the only reason I m buying such an expensive phone is to try and see if my experience with iPad and airpod is right or not.. I have a feeling that iPhone should be doing everything it does really well consistently. Consistently being the operative word here.

A15 Bionic support USB 3.1 Gen 1 (up to 5 Gbps) on iPad Mini 6. So, I don't think A16 Bionic on iPhone 15 isn't capable of high speed data transfer. It's just Apple restriction.

It is very disappointing to see even after assembling the non pro series in India, apple haven't reduced the prices of the non pro series compared to last year. iPhone 15 pro Max are for those who are apple enthusiasts or those who are not going to change their phone in next 6-7 years and I mean it there are some people I know who are still using iphone 10 and are going to buy 15 when the sale comes to see a few thousand RS cheeper phone and then wee planning to use it for the next 15 years. The only problem is battery life which you can get changed.

If I am paying $1k+ for a phone, I expect it to come with high frequency pwm dimming, 3.5mm jack, lightweight design, 20 minutes or less to fully charge the device. Seems like I was asking for too much.

oh that hdmi battery drain is high, but that should not be the case. i m bit surprised. else its good. the performance competition will be closer that's true, only CPU is the edge for apple. else GPU in SD has been going good. i'll still look for sustained performance rather than only benchmarks.

iphone 15 is nothing compared to s23 series when it comes to features. camera quality is almost same but iphone 15 is slightly better in some areas in video output, but according to price range s23 is better in all the way.

Generally snapdragon SOCs have more powerful GPU’s than apples A series chips but flagship Android phones usually have 1440p screens so they need more ~25% more performance just to perform the same as the Pro Max (based on the number of pixels) and an even bigger difference if you compare with the smaller pro phone.

I m currently using oneplus 7T 256 gb storage… it has fast charging of 30W and has 90Hz display… I had some basic expectations from apple this year for iphone 15 like fast charging, high refresh rate so tht I could opt for iPhone 15… but they hv shuttered it again… it’s very difficult for any android user to shift from high refresh rate display to 60Hz display again along with their slow charging… I think s23+ is perfect fr me…

I hope Flipkart or Amazon will give a significant discount on s23 series... moreover we don't know how long Samsung will stop themselves from launching Exynos in Samsung S-series again... so s23 series is really a better deal bcz of its performance with snapdragon 8 gen2 and software experience has become great..

Nice review. I bought a 15 pro max. My old phone was an iPhone X. After 6 years of usage, an upgrade was due. The price is not too high in my opinion. My new phone will last for 6 years again, longer depending on updates.
