I'd say get something with 120Hz AMOLED + SoC with 1M+ Antutu + >3 yr updates + reasonable build quality and waterproofing. 40-50K is the sweet spot if you're planning to use you phone for at least 4 years. If you're planning to use it for 3 yrs, 30-35K is the sweet spot. Anything beyond 50K is ridiculous, unless you need some specific flagship feature for productivity and generate income from it.

My 17k Realme XT lasted for 4 years. And I used to play heavy games like Ark and Genshin Impact on it. Most people aren't going to do that so even 30k is way too overkill. 20-25k will get you mostly everything you'd need.

Personally I feel that anything between 30k-45k should be good enough for most people. Anyone who feels that this is lacking can go for the 60k-70k segment but people should always keep in mind that you should only for the higher segment if you can afford it. If you cannot afford it, do not even touch them.

Frankly if you need a phone for basic use like calls whatsapp browsing 20k should be the Max budget. Whereas any phone under 60k would have almost 90% of features compared to its own flagship. If you have the money of course then paying 1.5 lakhs won't be an issue.

The phone under 20k we know are the budget one and won't complain much about it, but phone under 20-30k always makes people wanting for more in one or more area, the best bang for money with little compromise are the phones between 40-60k where you can prioritize your need if you want brand go for S/Fe Series or Oneplus, for cameras go for S-series or Pixel series or for gaming Iqoo Series.

25-40k is the sweet spot right now, where with the Moto Edge, Poco F, and all the way to Samsung S FE series, you can get good performance, and nearly all flagship features. But once you cross 40k, the features you get per extra 5k you spend starts decreasing. I feel 60-80k for a true flagship can make sense. (if someone suggests me OnePlus12, I am gonna chase you with a pitchfork)

@vedantphuse
@vedantphuse 3 месяца назад
@@ptbauro alright my comment was a bit too dramatic, and the phone is good overall, but I wanna point out that it lacks heavily in the camera department. I might sound weird or irrational, but please hear me out and read till the end. Also, I am open to healthy discussion, and wanna start off by saying that OnePlus 12 is an amazing comeback by OnePlus, and I hope they keep improving every year! So, I liked the specs on paper and went to the store to check the camera performance, as that's my only concern. I compared it to my 3 year old S20 FE and I saw that although the OP12 has all the Hasselblad tuning, the photos on my phone were sharper and had better colour accuracy, even on zooming in. I think the OnePlus camera would compare better to the likes of Moto Edge series, which are also reallly good phones overall, but lack in the camera department. So I say a true flagship should nail all the parameters, especially when you are paying 70k for it, which is not a small amount. And a three year old phone beating the camera, while being sold under half the price, it doesn't feel good, and made me cancel my idea of upgrading to it. (Cuz the processors are still holding up well, and unless you are regularly gaming or video editing on your phone, even 7+ Gen 1 and 865 phones are good enough) One more thing to point out is that the Oxygen OS being plagued by Oppo's Color OS will always cause uncertainty regarding the future of the phone's OS. Cuz my previous Poco F1 got two major software upgrades, and with the last one, it got super slow and buggy to the point that I had to upgrade to a Samsung (which also I would have never thought before given to the previous slow and laggy Samsungs I used) and have never regretted since. All I gotta say is, you should decide phones according to your priorities and preferences, and don't just go with the flow. I am also keeping an open mind, and who knows, maybe if the OnePlus 'Flagship' has a good camera, even if it keeps everything else the same, I might get it!

Many years back I switched from a flagship Mi phone to a budget Redmi. I realized that it is difficult to adjust since the quality in certain elements(camera, general performance) starts to drop. In the Android world, getting a flagship makes sense since you get updates, and even without updates the hardware/software will still hold up for the next 3-4 years. Even if the battery life takes a hit, you can change the battery and it will be as good as new. So after you 4 years, when you choose to upgrade, the features get more recognizable. This is why reviewers should always compare new releases with releases from the previous gen since most flagship phones have already matured and year-on-year upgrades are pretty pointless.

Secondly I think some phones could have been chosen which get very heavy sales discount and completely change their price tier Like the pixel 7 which was available for 35k in sales or the s21 fe which was available for 30k in sales These phones I think compete way better with s24 but I guess techwiser went for the MSRP prices

I see less and less people are taking about buying 1-2 year old flagships. Those for me gives the best value. If you buy a mid range phone, you compromise on a lot of things, however an old flagship gives you a premium experience in a lower cost. Very less people needs latest and greatest chips or technology, and i would argue even sd888 can get any day to day work done without any kinds of problem. The ''Value'' axis is too vague as it is variable...on the other hand, price is properly quantified - so, my sweet spot would not be same as someone else's. If we put - ''Average FPS in Genshin Impact in lowest settings'' in the ''Y'' axis...this would be much accurate chart for those who value performance over everything else. Similarly, you would have to make multiple graphs for Camera Quality, User XP, etc. The main thing is to define value as specifically as possible.

sweet spot is 40k to 50k but if u have never used a flagship phone u wont be able to tell the diffrence its like a addiction, once u use the flagship u cant go back after using my dads iphones and S series samsungs my whole life, the lowest ive gone is nothing phone and ik it doesnt perform but idc, animations are smooth, it doesnt add cheep sharpness to videos, and most importantly it doesnt blur my face while trying to brighten it, which my mom's edge 20 ultra always does. and plus i get good updates, i got android 14 on my phone 2 before myy dad's S22ultra. and my mom's edge 20 ultra never got it. good batery too btw

I say 30 to 50k is the best range....bcoz u are not doing any code for chandrayaan with the phone right(I am not saying below 30k is worst...it's like If u have the budget...buy in the range of 30 to 50k)

Also bro loved this video You forgot one important part though Charging speeds. Moto offers 67W I think and the edge 30 ultra actually offers 125W as well Realme 11 pro plus at 27k offering 100w is tremendous vfm and also Redmi note 13 pro plus

It's not just about salary. If something satisfies you or gives you happiness, there's no problem spending a little extra for it. I like traveling, so I don't mind spending money there. But it would bother me to spend on Gucci or Hermes.

also reliability, My dada XR is closing 5 years and even if he put it in exchange rn, it would fetch 12k that too excluding the exchange bonus, in a 5 year window I've changed 2~3 phones which summed up to more or less the same price

Bro, For build quality you should also include a drop test & dip test, otherwise the build quality section is incomplete. The real world durability should also be tested I feel.

I would say max 20k. No matter what you buy how much ever expensive there are certain risks. you may accidentally drop it, it may get stolen while travelling, i have seen my friends get samsung and other flagship phones with curved display and drop it accidentally having to replace a screen which cost 20-30k so they buy a budget phone instead. ( a good boxy phone with bumper case and a edge to edge screenguard has been letting me extend durability of my devices and prevent damage for years) I had a realme 3 pro lasted 4 years, got it for 10K, recently upgraded to redmi 12 pro, 19K with offers.

Nicely explained. But my only issue is that for those like me looking for stock Android experience in phones, sadly the choices have become so less now. OnePlus too after the ColorOS merger has dropped its premium feel (using a OnePlus 7T since 2020 that I bought for around 35k) finding a similar replacement in Android in today’s times has become a task and so many users might even want to shift to iPhones given the price equation of premium Android phones now (costing above 40/50k) That said, thanks for all your videos, love them a lot! ❤

Buying mid range phone is too much of a headache. Too much competition from every brand. People would probably waste so many hours, if not days, to watch tech videos to select the mobile. In my opinion, if you can afford, it is best to get a basic iPhone model of previous year's edition. Will get for a less price and won't be far behind the current year one. No competition and save a lot of time without needing to compare to other mobile phones. Camera will be good anyways and no need to think of an upgrade for a few years.
