It is looking good. This is where I am stalled, the bigger the toys the bigger the space you need. Plus, it should be nice for you to get the garage back, more room for something else ;)

Congratulations on your shop! My wife and I built our 24x36 shop in 2016 and have never regretted it! Unbelievably it seems the old adage “it can never be big enough” holds true as we still wish it was bigger!

For the rest of the world, the workshop is about 7 by 12 meters. Not bad, Andy! I hope it stays big enough for a long time.

I would love to see some specific videos of your shop build out. I think a lot of makers especially those growing with CNC related work are finding that they need bigger spaces not only to operate but also finish their projects and do so with efficiency. I think a shop buildout in support of your business is very relevant content for your audience. Please do continue and share this.

You're going to love the new space. "Been there, done that" as they say. I understand the progression having started my woodworking on the tailgate of my pickup truck outside our apartment, then two different homes with each a bigger garage. And finally having moved out to the country I got to build my dream shop in the backyard. 30 by 36 and loving it.

I recently revamped my barn into a workshop, same size as yours, but I'm only using 20x20 of the space for my shop. I put in dedicated 20 amp plugs and had them spaced like every 4 feet and I had some of them placed higher than usual on the wall. I only put in 1 window and that is for venting the laser. I thought I might regret putting only 1 in, but I see you're doing only two and where your equipment will be, no windows there :) I installed 2 long LED strip lights on the ceiling and it fills the room perfectly with bright light. I put drywall up, and blown in insulation for the whole barn. Put an attic in, so the whole upper portion is floored and insulated that as well. I'd be interested to know what yours costs. The CNC just came in so I've got to build the table and the unit. I do have a question regarding your laser, do you regret not getting a bigger laser? Are you going to keep the 35 in the new shop or add another? I am looking to purchase a bigger laser, mine is just a desktop [I structured the workshop based on adding large equipment] If you had the space back then, would you have gotten Thunders 51 or are you happy with the 35 and can't see yourself upgrading?

I would put the electrical in after the insulation and finish wall also inside conduit that way if you have to move a machine you don’t have to go through the wall to do it that’s just me though

That is awesome! It's what I plan on doing whenever we buy a house if we can get a big enough lot so my wife can take the garage for whatever she wants. I would like a breakdown of the pricing video so I could get an estimate,I know it'll be different for me since different states but still nice to get an idea. Keep up the great work!

Electrical - did you/are you running a separate service? or is it a sub panel from the house? Were there zoning concerns on that?
