Facts. Bryce's QB play has been horrendous. Fans have endured this. This isn't the first time Andy has shined. Andy did the same thing last season when he had an opportunity
We're the only ones who watch the games so we know Bryce has been terrible. I wasn't as hard on him last season because the offensive line was horrible and receivers weren't making great catches on catchable balls. It wasn't all on him last year. We rightfully put the blame on the coaching staff and the GM for not helping him out. This season the new GM and new coach improved the offense with good signings, trades and draft. They've brought in some good offensive lineman that have played well this season. Diontae Johnson has been getting open. The play calling has actually been pretty good. There have been guys open and Bryce hasn't given plays time to develop at all. Bryce has taken a step back this year. I hate the fact that he said he spent the offseason away from football and not studying NFL games and defenses. The reason this guy started right away was because he was seen as the one guy who would be ready for the mental side of the game. He's supposed to make great reads, make good decisions with the ball. That was supposed to be the one single defining feature that would make him a good NFL QB and he just doesn't have that. There is nothing else about him physically and athletically or leadership-wise that makes him any better than an average QB. It's supposed to be his intelligence, but he hasn't shown that at this level yet. Unfortunately he hasn't shown anything at all at this level and there is no reason to believe he will even be an average QB at the moment.
Man I’m a Panthers fan that loved Bryce coming out of college and I can admit I was wrong about him. I hope he becomes successful eventually, but right now he’s trending toward a bust. The game looks too BIG for him. I don’t know why these analysts are too prideful to admit that.
The inability for these analysts to understand that they were wrong about Bryce young is befuddling. If he looked that bad and they didn’t think he was ready, they wouldn’t have started him first game this season. How bad Bryce was the first 2 games was genuinely shocking to not just the NFL, but every panthers fan. The raiders also have a good defense. Very weird takes.
I knew they were going to say “it’s just the raiders” if we beat them, even though they just upset the ravens in Baltimore.. who then beat the cowboys in Dallas. They’re so entrenched in their own opinions and aren’t taking the time to watch the games obviously
@@vbdavis exactly. if they watched all the games the panthers played this season. They would know what the problem actually was. And it’s that Bryce young was never pro ready, he should have sat and learned his first year, but not a single nfl scout or analyst anticipated that.
@@gallonzoffun3880Bryce’s biggest problem isn’t that he can’t process the game right now. The biggest problem is that he is clearly physically overwhelmed. He looks like a high school kid playing against men. If you’re going to be that short, you need to have other physical tools that will make up for that size discrepancy. Look at Kyler, he is insanely fast and has an elite arm. Bryce is slow and has an average arm at best. In my opinion his arm is actually below average. How people thought he should be the number one overall pick is beyond me.
Idk panthers looked like a team that can at least compete with dalton at the helm. I think yesterday was incredibly damning for Bryce and I applaud Carolina for making that change early while the season is still salvageable
Dalton is a veteran with a solid career, not elite but good career, Bryce Young is in his second season after playing terrible last year. The two are not equal comparisons
@@Kennan_Davis exactly. Once I watched the Seahawks game last year, I understood that Bryce wasn’t a bust, but needs to sit and watch a pro run a team. Go listen to what Kurt Warner said about the NFL today and how offenses aren’t complicated anymore. Having Dalton back there, you can put the strategy back in to running an offense and Bryce will see that. I still think BY is the future. Just not now.
@@Kennan_DavisFair. Though I don’t believe Bryce is as big of a bust as it seems. I will say his ceiling looks pretty low overall. He has no zip on the ball which will be almost impossible to improve on. He will be better in a few years but hopefully on another team. He is done in Carolina 100%
The only thing that changed was the QB, the QB is the problem, not the team! Stop defending him, all off season they crafted this team for Bryce and then he came out and sucked for 2 weeks straight! Bryce is the problem not the team!
Everyone needs to get off the kid's back. He owned his mistakes and vowed to improve. He's young and has plenty of time to get it worked out. Dalton is a seasoned pro and he showed that.
We needed a leader behind center. Now it like bryce, good kid. He didn't have the leader Dawg in him. Andy got people up to the line and set, calling audibles and for the most part doing his checks post snap. There was a few throws I thought he could have gone for a guy opposite field but other than that he was stellar.
So from my take on this, these analyst think we were supposed to start Bryce Young for at least 9 games. At best we would have won 1 out of those 9 games, AT BEST. Then when young didn't pan out we were supposed to start Dalton after the season was already lost due to Young? Make it make sense. Football is about winning, not waiting on a player to develop, that is strictly what the bench is for 🤦
Dave is developing Bryce from the bench….the hate is crazy just cause “analysist” thought it was the panthers and it wasn’t 😭 why would we keep ruining Young’s confidence on the field he ain’t NFL ready Dave made the right move 😂
Rex Ryan is a joke along with the rest of the sports media. These"experts" are just upset because they hyped Bryce up as a generational talent when in fact, he's probably not able to be a backup QB in the NFL. Total bust
Bryce Young is bad. Maybe he can be better, but he's a QB who should have never started a game until he was ready. Carolina lost week 3 vs. Seattle in 2023 with Andy Dalton at the helm, and it was the only game the offense looked complete (besides playing GB) proving Bryce wasn't ready last year, and we got more of the same this year. Canales wasn't going to fix Bryce in 2 months. Sit him and prep him for the future.
Nobody will admit that maybe Bryce young is just a bad quarterback. I’d have more respect for guys like Rex if he just came out and said they hate Carolina and are biased towards them.
Yup. They make their bias so obvious but still act like they’re just stating facts. No, you’re just recycling the old narratives from last year. No way they watched the first two weeks of panthers football.
