i had a trip to heron brook around 3 and half years ago i was on the lake on the left as you drive in i had 350lb of carp on my maver pitbull 14.5 m pole all from as far as i could reach across it was the best days fishing I've ever had in my 50 odd years of life only a pleasure angler my father in law who is like Jamie (HE CAN CATCH A FISH IN A PUDDLE) was that fed up as i was beating him he packed up and just sat watching me baggin im learning a lot watching you 2 its great watching keep it up boys oooooosh
I loved this upload from start to finish lads.. We've all been there on Heronbrook when they're slurping in the grassy gaps, and they just say no!!!! Heronbrook might not be the prettiest of fisheries but once you've fished there for twenty-five years against the best of the best, you can relate to every sentence you uttered in this upload.. Well that's match angling at it's finest imo. Catching 100lb+ and finishing nowhere....:D
With a title like that, safe to assume that everyone seeing it would think Andy has qualified for a Fisho final, very misleading, and disappointing he hasn’t 😢
A bit left field lads but as a new match angler how would you go about getting good at estimating fish weight. Should I be weighing fish as I catch them hoping it sinks in 😂
I relate them to a Bag of Sugar which is 2lbs roughly. Just got to imagine how many you are holding. There is a gadget from Riteweigh which attaches between the Landing Handle and Net. It's along the lines of a Spring Balance Scale.
