Every time I watch an interview of Andy, I am continually impressed at how lovely he was, such a beautiful soul and it really was a tragedy that he died so young.
Andy is soooooo likeable. He's talented, sweet, honest, funny, intelligent and very handsome. I loved this interview. Thanks so much for posting this Gibbgirl.
Andy was blessed with stunning looks, charm and an abundance of talent...Had he lived, given how much success he had achieved at a, relatively, young age, I have a strong feeling, that, Andy would've achieved, or, would've come close to achieving, the kind of phenomenal success achieved by Michael Jackson and/or Rod Stewart.
@kat lover I think if andy had lived he would have eventually went on to be a Bee Gee and now him and Barry would be working together, like you said.but I dont agree about MJ... he didnt molest anyone.
@kat lover they didnt want him in the band. Barry knew the light would be taken off him because Andy had a versatile voice. Robin had a beautiful voice. Barry sounded like a crying dog. That sound was ok on a couple of songs but the power was behind Robin
A great interview. Good questions and I believe that Andy was totally honest, including his marriage. They were young and when that hurricane of success hits, relationships are difficult to maintain. The record company wanted to promote Andy as single to his teenage fans. Unfortunately, he did turn to drugs because the fame was difficult to deal with but there were other issues as well. None of us can judge unless we've been in the same situation. Rest in Peace dear Andy.
In all the interviews I have seen he is so kind and honest. Almost to the point where one as a viewer fear he is being exploited. Today he would have been protected against himself.
Oh lovely, beautiful caring Andy. The whole world is in mourning of the great musician David Bowie, but I and many others are still sad over Andy, may he rest in peace.
Thank u fir posting this clip. I was 12 years old when he came out with that song. I loved it n still love it. I never saw an interview I didn’t even know he had died. It broke my heart.
Poor Andy my heart fills with sadness looking at him. Hollywood DESTROYED him.. the drugs, the parties, the women, the pressure - poor sweet soul. Was Andy flawless and perfect? No he was human .. humans err and make mistakes. I hope his soul has found the peace that was not to be found in this life.
Absolutely love this interview. ARG appeared to be relaxed and was very candid about his marriage. I hope that there is no self blame by Barry about ARG's downfall. LOVE ARG 4EVER!!!!

His whole life seemed to be a tragedy. Dropping out of school so young. Not being able to do the normal things that young me do because of his (and his brother's) fame. So isolated and cut off from humanity. Like he really never felt he fit in. So sad.
Andy has a lots throught as Michael Jackson because his pain of the childhood in the famous world...I feel that he has a secret life because of the social media...
None of his family seemed to have time for him, some of them admitted this. He was given the stuff of fame but none of the support he needed to handle it.
oh my goodness I had such a huge crush on Andy Gibb when I was 9 and 10 years old and the mid 70s early 80s and I got to tell you watching these interviews cuz it's been a long time I've course was so young don't remember ever seeing these interviews but I had his shirt I had the shirt with a picture of his face on it I had record player than album my dad I bought me for my birthday I was so excited and looking back in this now I am now 50 and looking back and watching the interviews and how respectful everybody was and no profanity no bad language how different it was the only thing that you're atates me is as interviewer with him he's annoying for some reason he's just really corny and annoyingbut other than that I loved watching this has been a long time and watching this just made me rekindle my little girl crush on this man when I was 10 years old.

He was way too young to be married and stay married. He sounds very sweet but not mature. Where were his parents? There is no way my parents would allow me to get married at such an early age..I think once in America he had felt trapped and overwhelmed with his personal life and career.
What happened to John Davidson? His parents were Baptist Missionaries and he renounced the Lord and went full on atheists/humanist and speaks at "The Reason Rallies" my ❤ breaks for him

All the troubles of this guy from a lack of education. Until the end of his life, he never learned to set value priorities and fight for them. And apparently he was still far from searching for the meanings of his identity, since he always sailed with the flow of pleasures. All this led to tragedy and early death. Although the guy, no doubt, was talented.
@@pookycat1626 Lol! Yeah ! Hes like adding words to the song! Bahahahaha! So I was curious as to what he looked like now and what hes doing. They had him on a local channel where he lives and he brags about how good looking he was. He still has a bunch of hair but its grey. And he sang! Lol! But I mean I cant believe poor Andy had to sing one of his number one hits with him! I mean that was probably the deal he made with Andy and Andy seems like the kind of guy that doesnt say NO. He knew Andy would let him sing. He was out of key and poor Andy was trying to find the note he was singing in with NO LUCK. BAHAHAHAHA! Plus I think he and ole Davidson were pretty good friends because Davidson wanted to be Andy. When Ringo Star was on his show , Ringo gave him a hard time. I dont think Ringo liked being on his show. If you get a chance watch . And its John's fault for fixing Andy up with Victoria. Well in my opinion.
@@pookycat1626 Did you see that show where Andy meets Victoria Principal. I think that's her name. After they met they moved in together almost immediately. They also went on Donahue as a couple and he was to go on tour and he backed out. That was it! His chance to stay in limelight, but he chose love. SMH
I used to like John Davidson (back in the day) but what was he trying to do singing that song? He acted like he couldn’t follow it or didn’t know the words! Terrible! Andy was such a “professional “ singing compared to John!
I loved Andy's music, but not his EGO, this guy had it ALL, but, THROUGH IT ALL AWAY, because of his SELF BELIEVE, and REJECTING the HELP, of his Brothers because he wanted to be an artist in his OWN RIGHT. Watch the Documentaries on his Life. R.I.P Andy your music will LIVE ON.
