MY first crush on a singer growing up n the 70's/80's was Andy Gibb. I miss him and his voice so dearly. When I hear him sing I dont know why I feel a sense of sadness and longing in his voice. Yearning to reach something. I miss you Andy *sighs*
Being the last baby boy with 3 older brothers who started so young, I see why he wanted his own career. He did do alone he must felt others was comparing him to his brothers. Not only could Andy sing, he wrote song some I know Barry and mo helped he was just as handsome and talented as his or others. You did good Andy. Love and miss you..

I like this song so sentimental yet adorable. Andy portray himself desperately, but his passion and melody of his song showed someone above continue pouring out great love to those people who have experienced great lose either of love or of life. He wrote songs too some with Barry and mo too so it appears all the Gibbs boys was blessed with lot talent to sing, write, play instruments and compose as well as being so incredible handsome, they was gifted..
Barry gave him his very best and most complex songs, that all became smash hits.. but then he wrote gems like this on his own, or Someone I Ain't with Barry... An Andy Gibb concert was perhaps better than a BeeGees one.. Andy was the best performer of them all, played way better guitar and piano than Maurice... his talent and impact was immense.
@@juantarctica I beg to differ on your statement that he played better guitar and piano than Maurice. That is just patently not true. Andy had a great vocal range, but he did not have the talent Mo had with instruments. Mo also had a deeper bass. All of them were/are talented and the next generation seems to be equally as gifted.
Regina Reams I respectfully have a different opinion. If you look at Andy playing the highly complex “I Just Wanna Be Your Everything” live on stage on guitar, you can already tell he is more talented on guitar than Maurice is. Maurice only know the core basics on each instrument. In the golden era of 1976-1986, Maurice wasn’t allowed to play a note on Barry’s productions. Albhy Galuten and Karl Richardson or Blue Weaver or George Bitzer played the piano and keyboards, it was Barry on guitar, plus session musicians. Maurice just didn’t have what it takes. Andy wrote “Me (Without You)” on piano with delicate diminished chords. When Maurice was put in charge of the remake of “Emotions” in 1994, he couldn’t reproduce the diminished chords needed there. Cause he was an amateur. He was a hobbyist, thinking making a recording sound like a christmas tree was alright. Like the hobbying he did on Robin’s “How Old Are You” album. He played all the instruments there. And produced it. It cannot hold a candle to a Karhlby production. They kept him out for a reason. Just my opinion, you may hate me for it.
