Imagine being a manager with a great track record, working hard over the years with various teams, and building a great reputation. Then being criticised for wanting to win, with spurs fans wanting their own team to lose out of spite to their rivals. Spurs lucky to have a manager like this, has every right to question his own fans celebrating, I'd be embarrassed too

Liverpool played Blackburn in 1995 on the last day of the season. Which meant man utd needed to beat West ham and hope Liverpool beat Blackburn. Don't remember any Liverpool fans wanting to lose the game. In the end Liverpool won 2-1 and man utd drew so Blackburn still won the league. I personally feel that the majority of Spurs fans me included, dont want Arsenal to win the title...its human nature. It would be exactly the same if it was Rangers/Celtic, Liverpool/Everton, Utd/City, Birmingham/Villa, Toon/Sunderland and so on... Tottenham were still playing for a slim chance to play Champions League football next season. Ange was simply asking players and fans to not down tools yet as they had every reason to play and they did just that, downed tools and not only that made a mockery of it. There are financial and historical ramifications for not qualifying for Champions League but history or moving forward only seems to matter to Ange.

As an American, I can’t understand the rivalry of English football. If my neighbor constantly rubbed my face in their success for 50 years, then of course I wouldn’t want them to be successful purely out of spite.

Lazio 0 Inter 2 in 2010 was far worse. The fans were literally booing their goalkeeper for saving. When Inter scored they showed an ironic banner “oh no”. The manager Eddy Reja, never complained about it.
