The WDR BIG BAND feat. Andy Haderer with an Edward Redding composition "End Of A Love Affair" in an arrangement by Richard DeRosa. Andy Haderer on trumpet and Andy Hunter on trombone play solo. Produced under the musical direction of Jörg Achim Keller as part of the Personal Sound series (WDR FUNKHAUS / March 2021).
The name says it all when the WDR Big Band proclaims the motto "Personal Sounds" in its concert series. While the entire big band is the focus, each concert also features two personalities from the band. The two band members not only present themselves as soloists, but also help shape the entire program and appear as composers. In short: very individual musical portraits are drawn. In this edition of "Personal Sounds" it's (almost) all about the high and low brass, namely bass trombonist Mattis Cederberg and trumpeter and flugelhorn player Andy Haderer.
