Name all the best guitarists on earth, none of them play with as much feel as this guy. Andy is every amazing guitarist on their best day, on any given day
I’m being honest when I say this song is my favorite riff/solo instrumental of all time something is very special about this song Andy put his heart and soul in this one you can feel it I have been playing guitar for 26 years and heard it all but Andy James is something special
Me too, it's a perfect balance or harmony, tone, emotion, technicality without getting too bogged down in any one of them.... A perfect electric guitar instrumental. TY Andy
I really think that this is his best balade song. It just goes to show you that you don't always need to play 300 notes a minute to create a magnificient piece. If only Mr. Malmsteen understood that! That's what I love about Mr. James, he covers a large array and can play different styles and can play super fast or slow. well done and come to Canada. I live in Ottawa (capital of Canada) and would love to watch you play
Andy..you inspire me..thank u do much for all u do..it means a lot to me...not just musically..granted I only know u thru your music but that alone helps me know u.. I've been thru good n bad times and your music helps me...as well I'm also getting more advanced on guitar and your playing insides the f*** out of me..thank u so much for all u do! My new born says thanks as well for helping her daddy!!
Andy has become one of my faves , I have this and listen to the CD. Yes CD in my old 1991 Honda accord. Love all of his material, especially " exit through the ashes" (not from this album) all of his songs are absolutely amazing and melodic. I can hear andy soul through his playing .
.000❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This song alone, well kind in addition to "stay-Shakespeare's sister's" and his actual song "stay"... These three without a shadow of a doubt saved my life, from self harm, heroin addiction and an overwhelming sense of "I'll never deserve to be happy...". This man's emotional and wide open heart felt choruses absolutely grabbed me down from the edge.... If you only knew brotha what your music has done for my just, my inner love and respect. I owe that to this man 🤘😝🤘
One of best modern metal guitarist really amazing Andys songs dnt need a singer his guitar can talk, i would love saw a lot of their compositions in movies or games idk
AJ is my favorite instrumental guitarist. That's saying a lot. I'm 55 and have been a guitar instrumental afficianodo from the 80s to today and to my ears AJ is the best "modern" player. I know he needs to eat but frankly AJ being in 5FDP is about like Randy Rhoads playing with KISS. Talk about being WAY overqualified for a job... I just hope he keeps putting out BRILLIANT guitar instrumental releases like "C. S. I. L" and his earlier instrumental masterpieces. I'm very familiar with MANY guitarists and there are many many outstanding guitarists out there but Andy's melodicism over super-heavy chord structures is just next level to MY ears. Another player that very few probably even have heard is David Valdes. Listen to his INCREDIBLE modern neoclassical releases "Paradise Lost" and "Imhotep." Thank me later. 🤘
Love Andy! Taught me how to play with fuzzies on my strings. Has great instructional videos, first slow speed to FAST, which will blow your mind! Thanks Andy.☮️🎸☮️
Some people look down upon using "fuzzies" when playing live as it's kind of cheating since you don't have to worry about playing clean enough to muffle strings and whatnot. I personally only use them when practicing hard lead stuff or recording lead stuff since, well, recording is hell incarnate lol. Andy's still a monster player though, love his stuff.
@@ryanschindler923 There is no cheating, just other guitarist that needs to complain about others success. Why not use the string fuzzies if it makes the sound even cleaner? it's like fucking a ugly woman rather then a hot one.
Indeed it does, and I’m glad, we need more guitarists like Joe. I don’t care if someone is the fastest or most technically amazing guitarist ever. If they can’t reign it in to produce something melodic and with feeling, it’s just boring.
Metallian81 i agree casue someone like jason richardson is far more technical than andy and petrucci however i could listen to petrucci or aj for way longer and thier wore interesting
I´m not complaining when people go super technical but keeping it rather "simple" and playing super clean is much more enjoyable for me. And he still has some juicy licks in there. Awesome performance.
Yup Im sure Satch and possibly Petrucci were influences. This song in particular sounds like something off Pink Floyd's Divison Bell album, but Satch instead of Gilmore
