I had the same experience trying out an out of tune guitar with an Evertune bridge, put it down and bought it from the shop where it was in tune. Thanks this is the best guitar video I’ve seen on RU-vid in years. Subbed!
man i've seen him live in 2012 with sacred mothertongue as supportband for hellyeah. i didn't know who these guys were, i was there for hellyeah, but when i heard him play i knew "shit, this guy is better than every other guitarplayer in this building tonight!" i havn't looked further into SMT until like 2016 when i found a video of him playing a song called "warmarch" on the YT channel Jamtrack central. blew my mind!
A plus side to all of this is that I was able to get an inexpensive Evertune Andy James LTD 7-string! I'm just amazed every time I pick it up and it really is completely in tune. Also happy that Kiesel now offers Evertunes as well. I have an old Carvin Bolt that I love and I really want to get a new Kiesel.
I had one and YES they work great.I set mine for std tuning but dropped the low E to D when needed and then back again pretty quickly. When I did open G I would drop the A to G and leave all others alone. Most open G stuff I played used 4 strings anyway.
Green Jelly did a video only album years ago. Originally they were named Green Jell-O. They got famous and Jell-O sued them to change their name. Their first release was "Little Pigs, Little Pigs". RU-vid it or Google it.
I want an evertune so much and the next "metal" type of guitar I'm gonna buy will definitively have one. A Solar might be a good choice I think but I never could try one and there are not so many of them out there. They are sold out pretty quick, at least the models I like are.
This vid has convinced me to try an evertune. If I like it enough I'll get a guitar with one. I've always been skeptical because of the whole wood route thing and loss of low end, but the counter points Levi and Andy had are completely valid too
I'd like to know what kontakt bass Andy got, the inferno one or halfmoon one. EDIT: Nevermind he mentioned it later ABZ 5 bass instrument for kontakt by halfmoon if anyone is interested
Very good dialogue. Personal experience with 7 and 8 strings is same as you describe in 29:55 - 30:12 that the low end goes sharp and just cuts right into the ear. I had to put 8 string guitar set on the 7 string guitar (13 - 74 gauge) in order to have the 7th string more stable and get rid off that unstable sound, but for many musicians they don't want to play on such fat cables and looking/prefer for thinner solutions and that's where Evertune bridge offers the solution. It's good to hear that you cover that ground and talk about evertune bridge, 7 and 8 string guitars by giving honesty and clarity for people who are not aware or are newcomers. ESP Guitars: Bobby Lynge (Fit for a King) on the E-II Horizon NT-7 EverTune (This Bobby Lynge describes as well the same issue without evertune and with evertune). Stay strong lads and keep grinding. :) Cheers.
Yeah. I lost some respect for them after they increased the price quotes of their Custom Shop by 200% and because they're only reserving the "ESP" name for the really expensive guitars.
I’m Skwid Too Because ESP wised up and realized that their name is highly prized so they are charging a very high premium for it now. I don't agree with it but I understand it.
