Andy Richter is best known for being the long-running late-night sidekick on Conan O’Brien’s series of talk shows, his appearances and voice work on various television shows, and his incredibly active Twitter account. But he’s also a Celebrity Jeopardy! champion, appearing on the game show once in 1999 and again in 2009 where he dominated Wolf Blitzer and Dana Delany. We asked him what it takes to win the game show.

Andy Richter is one of my favorite humans ever. He seems so genuine, affable, and intelligent so much like someone I would love to converse with.

I randomly searched for this video after reading on Reddit about Andy Richter’s win on Jeopardy. I watched the video and then glanced down at the comments. I read the first one and like it, then glance at the username. Wastrel333 is my younger brother. It feels like a Christmas miracle. Or we may very well have the same brain.

Andy's total is the fourth highest one day total in J! history, $68K, behind Roger craig $77K, Ken Jennings $75K, and Austin Rogers $69K. Andy would have very possibly broken the one day record, but time ran out in Double Jeopardy! before the second Daily Double was found.

if ur clicking anything, word of advice, use ur pointer finger rather ur thumb, its faster.. anyone who track time for say running competitions are aware and taught this.

Wolf was actually doing quite well into Double Jeopardy on that episode, he was ahead of Andy as I recall, or at least even with. Then he started giving ridiculous answers and ignoring the categories and lost all his money.

@@fennecbesixdouze1794 In all seriousness, the Julia Child / Childs answer was a huge swing for Wolf. He added an 's' on her last name. Instead of winning $800 (I think) he lost $800. That's a $1600 swing on a single question. But even here he technically benefited since neither of his competitors could answer the question correctly because the judges didn't catch it at the moment. Fun times.

i actually just got done watchin that, hence why im reccommended this vid i guess lol. anyways i knew almost all those questions! i was proud lol, even though im sure those are about a fifth of the complexity of the real jeopardy questions!

Oh my god that is me me 100% of the time and I also do very well in jeopardy I have nailed 63 final Jeopardy’s And counting but on a Chalk bored I don’t think that I could spell jeopardy go figure

He's being sarcastic about the athletic thumb because at the end of the game, Alex said wolf only lost because Andy was quicker with the button. Of course Alex was just being a gentleman for his competitors, but Andy must have took it a lil personal lol
