I had all of these bags. I would say anello is the most spacious, doughnut has more pockets, kanken is water resistant. All bags are beautiful and have their own perks and cons!
Never tried the anello backpacks before, but I have a Macaroon Classic and a Kanken backpack. The macaroon I have had for maybe 5 years now, and my Kanken for only about 6 months, but overall I think I prefer the Kanken. I do love my macaroon but I tended to find that I was putting the bulk of my heavier stuff in the organization pockets in the inside front of the bag (like my keys, phone, powerbank, wallet etc.) and didn't really have enough to balance it out in the main section so the bag would lean forwards and bend strangely - which I somewhat fixed by carrying around a light plastic clipboard in the laptop pocket. And I know I could have properly fixed it by just distributing my stuff better but I just really liked those organization pockets lol. I found that the Macaroon stays 'cleaner' than the Kanken in my experience. I can't remember the exact colour name of the Macaroon I have but its a beige/light brown colour, and it still pretty much looks exactly like it did when it was brand new save for a few marks on the bottom. My Kanken on the other hand is in the Fog colour (the exact one in your video actually
I’ve just got myself a doughnut classic mini blue one , a little bit smaller than yours. I bought it from the internet, never touch before. I didn’t know it’s that heavy. I wish I could have watched your videos before I bought it. I like your videos,so straightforward to tell and introduce bags. Have a nice day (smile)
@@TheBagStreet Hi, I come back and tell you I just got my perfect backpack!! Arcteryx Index15 , big enough while also amazingly light as well as easily carried ( I can zipped it to very small and put it into my doughnut mini blue 😁 when necessary)
@@arrianacharleyabu3917 NO. The Doughnuts Macaroon is not really heavy. I got one and I love it. I think is way better than Kanken and Anello. The quality of Doughnut is superb!
I have the small and regular large anello bag. I like how its hard for pickpockets to open and the leather ones are resistant to rain during typhoon season! 👀👍✨
we have the anello and kanken and just ordered the doughnut one but here are my thoughts on them so far!! anello - really stressful to open especially if you're somewhere packed (e.g., the train) and it lacks pockets but it's VERY spacious kanken - easier to open but the straps dig into your shoulders. it also lacks pockets and you can barely put anything in the side pockets and the seat pad compartment but it is water-resistant and very sturdy
@@Emma-ju7rr definitely doughnut. i really don’t like anello because of the structure and the way it opens. if you often bring a lot of things though, i’d recommend anello because doughnut isn’t that spacious and its material doesn’t allow it to stretch like anello does.
@@sapphicism i'm using my cousin's anello bag for now, its the mini one. tbh yeah, it's weird to open especially if you're commuting and need to open your bag quickly. the only thing stopping me is i saw this one anello bag in ivory and it looked so cute 😭 but i still might go w the doughnut because i rlly like how there's compartments
@@Emma-ju7rr the compartments of the doughnut bag help so much!! i hate when theres barely any pockets in a bag like with anello. it all boils down to preference tbh
I have macaroon doughnut, it is pretty and suitable for those who like everything organized. The downside is the colour will fade really fast. I wear for around 1+ year and it fades really ugly. I tried dyeing it on 2 different times, the dye won't stay. I have the anello too, not too comfy for me, stiff, the zipper is hard to open and lack of pockets
I liked the video because the criteria was clear and the reviewer did not impose their opinion on which bag is better and left it to the audience to decide. Personally, it depends on the use of the bag. I use my Anello bags when I travel abroad, but when I go to work, I use my Kanken. I remember seeing Doughnut bags, but thinking it was too small.
Maybe I should get a kanken plus the inner organizer. I’m looking for a lighter one backpack. Doughnut is pretty good with the inner pockets, but it’s too heavy for a slim lady.
Hi! Can I ask? Which is lighter? Anello retro leather backpack or Doughnut Large backpack ?(just like what u shown in the video but larger one). And if Anello and Doughnut leather/material is high quality? Sorry if im asking a lot of questions, I'm planning to buy a new backpack since my old backpack have really uncomfy straps and other things, Will wait for your answer, and thanks!😊
@@TheBagStreet no problem. I need some opinions from you guys because both of these bags have similar style, compartments, etc., and I want to know which one is better. I’m planning to buy a backpack for my upcoming college in 2021
@@TheBagStreet The tag(s) should be one single smaller more squared than rectangular one. On the inside, the logo patch stitched in the center should have lines for name and contact but not for address. Also the Å in Kanken on the FRONT logo is a very noticeable one. Here’s a good comparison video: iru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rLNx2F1cK4U.html
@@sammyrodriguez8213 Hey Sammy! We sincerely appreciate your love towards Fjällräven Kanken, only a true fan can spend time commenting and trying hard to spot the real/ fake ones! Thanks! However I hope you take some time to check this website out, this site is from the FJÄLLRÄVEN official website. www.fjallraven.com/uk/en-gb/verify-reseller (This website is stated in the video link you sent as well) and type in THEBAGSTREET.COM, the result you will get is something like "THIS SITE IS A FJALLRAVEN AUTHORIZED ONLINE RETAILER" With this, I hope you are convinced we are selling the real ones and not counterfeit bags, and there is absolutely no reason for us to sell counterfeit ones because that will simply jeopardized our relationship with FJÄLLRÄVEN. Check out this link as well, we are in the list of official stores in Malaysia: fjallravensea.com/pages/online-stores-sea You might ask, so why is this happening? Simply because the link you sent aren't from the official and everything he/she stated was simply based on his/her own opinion and understanding, I bet maybe both bags from the video are genuine one? However, I can't really sure about that. Cheers and we really do appreciate your comment!!
I just ordered an anello bag I'm not sure but some call it ruck sack? or rack sack? I forgot😅😅 anyways it was really spacious it got a laptop compartment inside and I really like it's design
I am planning to buy a bag and I'm choosing between anello and doughnut, I'm a nursing student and i really need a bag that can bring like a LOT of stuff and I still can't decide 😭
Anello is so overrated, also from the few years I used one the functionality was awful. The hinge makes it very difficult to close on the go when held by the straps, you need to either set it down or use 2 hands to force the hinges closed first. The lose pockets inside are also pretty useless because nothing I put in there stays put, it always ends up mixed somewhere in the main compartment. It's terrible for organization, and I found the back zipper access hard to use because I have to root around to find things in the one big compartment. If I had known about Doughnut back then I would have vastly preferred it, the only issue is the button snaps for the front pocket look unnecessarily finicky. The one nice thing I can say about the Anello is the material held up pretty well, especially considering all the pin buttons and enamel badges I put on it. I chose it for the clean minimalist look, but totally regret it for how annoying it was to use.
