Today on The Dead Life I want to talk about the scary part of LIFE, dying. Why are we afraid to die? Is it because it's the unknown? Is it because it's one of the rare times in life that we're forced to go it alone?
Today's guest is Lynn Principe. She's a Death Doula, she helps people to transition from this life to the next. She knows better than most people what dying looks like. Today, we're going to hear her experiences and some of you may find a personal calling to become a Death Doula, she'll tell you how you can become a “crossing guard for the dying.
You can listen to all episodes on www.allisondub...
You can find out more about Lynn on her website: www.consciousd...

Some years ago, I visited a friend in hospital and the nurse said that he might go home tomorrow as he was better. I couldn't understand that as I could feel lots of spirit in the room for him. That night he passed and so, in a way, he did go home ❤

As an on-duty physician in an Intensive Care Unit, for many years, I feel extremely uncomfortable when we have elderly people hospitalized in the ICU, with irreversible physical conditions, submitted to artificial ventilation, hemodialysis, daily collection of blood tests, and kept in bed with hands trapped so they don't pull the tube out, unable to scratch their nose or report that they are thirsty or in some pain. For families who do not want their elderly person to die at home, or in a nursing home, I inform you that the end of the elderly person's life in the ICU is extremely difficult and painful and, if the elderly person manages to leave, he will leave without muscle strength, to be bedridden at home making bedsores, etc. Of course, criteria and consensus from the whole family are needed, so that, when a medical team informs that the illnesses that the elderly person presents are not reversible, the most loving decision is made and that elderly person’s life takes its course. normal, towards death, at most administering analgesics, oxygen, nutrition.

WOW! I never knew there was actually training for this. I always said I was the gate keeper. I began doing this for about the past 17 years. I now do this in person, whereas in the past unbeknownst to me what I was doing when this was occurring, I was doing this in spirit. People who I knew, and people who I did not know come to me prior to their passing within maybe four hours of their passing, and I have assisted them to cross over in spirit. Somehow their spirit comes to me and they give me their last words for their family or friends, which I in return give to those who knew them if I can find their family or friends. I have never heard of that happening in spirit. I did not really understand what was going on until about the third soul who came to me.

This was a fascinating topic for me and I loved every minute of your chat with Lynn. I had never heard of a Death Doula. I do so hope this is something that will become more available to those who are diagnosed with terminal illnesses in the future. I feel so bad for those who fear death and dying when they could be looking forward to what lies beyond for all of us after this life. When my beloved mother was in hospice a few years ago, she was a blessing to the staff and doctors as she transitioned for a week after her sudden stage four diagnoses of cancer. She was never sad or frightened because she knew what was ahead of her, and she truly looked forward to seeing her loved ones and friends again who had passed before her. Of course, she did not want to leave her family so soon, but cancer was taking her from us so she was looking at the positive side. Sadly, next door to my mother's room was a lady who was terrified of death and we could hear her and her family crying often. The feeling and energy from that room was so dark and sad, and it showed on the faces of the staff sometimes when they came into my mother's room from there. One of the sweet nurses told me once she was thankful to come into my mother's room next where she could feel the love and cheerfulness we all shared. My mother was my best friend and still is ... I miss her physical presence in my life dreadfully, but I still feel her with me on a daily basis. I look forward to being with her again after my life here is finished and I have absolutely no fear of passing on. As you said, we will never have to say goodbye again. ❤

I think having a Death Doula is so needed. We have become so isolated from the dying process and death that we have no idea what happens and I think that the not knowing is what causes the fear of death. A lot of people don't have family around them or possibly don't want their family around, so having a death doula would be comforting.

I love how you explain why there are spirits who still stay around on earth amd how their heaven isn't complete without a certain person. That to me gave me so much clarity especially compared to how most will just say it's unfinished buisiness

Some people know intuitively they don’t have long to live, that they’re going to pass soon. Sometimes it such a fast experience they’re already on the other side. The victims don’t know the horror, tension, and anger that we have hearing about the shooting, anticipating the worst, running to the hospital, feeling panic that we’re going to lose someone. So, it’s probably that they don’t experience the horror that we do.

I've been waiting for your next vlog. I was so excited when I saw it come on. You always have very interesting people come on and when you just talk to us about your shows with Joe. It's been awhile since your last one. I'm pleased when your able to fit us in on your very busy schedule on RU-vid. I know I'll never be able to see you for a reading. However this is as close as I will ever get to one. Thank you for being able to do what your doing and bring it to RU-vid.

Blessings to y'all! This is so a wonderful show , I learn a lot, so true I'm not afraid to die, will love to meet God, my Angels, my family in Heaven. My big fear is the way I'll die, I'm afraid of the pain. I always pray God take me to Heaven, and my family in a nice and easy pass during our sleeping night dreams when we're 100 yrs old or more. But indeed, I see how my dad, grandma, great grandma, passed, they all saw angels, and the spirit of their loved one in heaven before they died. I confirm all our spiritual's army are coming to take us to heaven. Thanks Lynn, I believe in you, your heavenly gift.. You're the one we'll need when we pass over. Sending Angels to you my dear , thanks Alison. Xoxo 🤗🌿🍀🌼🌲🌳🐢🐚🐬🌠🌟🌞🌈🌛🏖💙😍🌎😊😃🕯💫😇

My family member has claustrophobia & is absolutely terrified of the death process even though she believes in an afterlife. Talking through things (even talking about it AT ALL) & the “celebration” side of all of this is a total “no go” for her because it increases her anxiety immensely. What do you do then?? I’m at a total loss in how to help best 😢

I am just a person but I watched my mom dying with dementia and lung issue. Say I love you a lot, be happy to be with them and try to ask them questions about their past so they can think of happier times of the past and that might make them raise their vibration to a happier state in the present.

A week before my father died after he had come home from the hospital after a surgery, he called and said, "I don't understand why they won't let me go home." I said, I thought you were home, and he said, "I am." Oh, he meant home with a capital H. He went Home one week later after calling most of his kids to say goodbye.

This is very long. It wasn't my intention. I apologize. It's so wondeful to be able to take the fear out of it. Out of anything and everything, in fact. But death, as a subject, is humanity's #1 worry. Of course, that isn't any news to either of you in this video. I'm sorry. I feel ridiculous. I've tried talking to others. I've tried finding people like me, near me and I am still here alone. I think I might have to be alone for now, and I am afraid. I think I'm supposed to find my inner strength before letting any new people into my life. I'm not completely alone. I do have a loving family. But what sucks is that I'm the kind of person whose living situation makes me appear to be a loser and think that I'm lazy--though I'm not. Damn. Or am I? Am I wrong? Is there something I can do right now that will serve the highest good that I might not be serving in my ignorance right now? I don't know. I try to know, but really...really? How? What am I missing? What and where am I being given guidance to where I'm supposed to be but am not doing? Or am I doing exactly what I need to right now? I know I have the mediumship ability sometimes, on and off, but am I supposed to strengthen it and do anyting with it, or is that really not my "thing" in this life? I'm sorry. I think I just asked you for your insight when it wasn't my initial intention. I keep telling myself that "I'm not desperate." I usually mean it for my romantic love life but, I am now seeing that the same thought is bleeding into other areas of my life. I don't want to live my life through desperation. I want to live it through confidence, fun, and the determination to help others. But the more my life remains mundane and unchanging, the more desperate I catch myself becoming. That is not who I want to be and that is not who I have ever been, not really. You should have seen me when I was 5 years old. I was endearing. I love me and who I was then. How can I be that person and pay bills and take care of my aging parents too? Yes, of course, I'm hoping one of my "Higher Helpers" will let me know something or more things that can help. I accept whatever I get from this sad attempt of mine that has just become apparent to me. Yes. I am asking for help. I've done it on and off but haven't gotten many answers, that I know of, at all. It's OK if you don't answer me. I know that if you don't then I've reached yet another dead end in my attempts at searching for answers. It's just a part of the seeking. No hard feelings and I don't take it personally. I do take it as a sign that I'm going in the wrong direction, so it's better if you don't answer me if you don't "hear or feel" anything with this. Thank you for everything you have done and been in your lifetime. Thank you.

I am just a person. You express what I feel and felt over the grief of my mom. Take one day at a time. Life is a journey. Sometimes small baby steps are ok. I am searching too. That is why I watch these videos and others. Another vlogger says you have to love yourself and in a vibration of love answers will flow. Look in the mirror or camera and say I love you. I may not understand you but I am here for you. Do the same when you have feelings of sadness. Say I love you and thankyou for being here to your body. I am here for you. I am not going anywhere. I will always love you and be here for you to your body. Try smiling at people as you walk past them. Some will smile back. Say I am going to try to be helpful to someone today and even if it is just a smile that is ok. I am also in my head space too much so I try to walk outside and look at the trees and nature and this makes me feel better. Follow what feels right for you. I go backwards sometimes too but I keep going. I think that is the important thing. We are here to learn and to keep going. I feel it will get better and usually it does. I have moments of happiness and freedom even if they do not always last. I find it hard to love myself but I am trying and I feel better when I am in that state of freedom. If you cannot feel love then try a feeling of freedom or goodness or peace. That helped me but it is a journey for me too with hills and valleys.
