Angel's reason to go to the W and forego any extra eligibility in college is every girls reason including Caitlin, the love of the game and the inherent feeling of responsibility and duty to grow the national pro league. Angel and Caitlin (other players as well, but the two in this draft with the biggest brand) want NCAA viewer numbers in the WNBA they want more teams, longer seasons, larger draft, they want to completely change the landscape of pro basketball for women. It's admirable. And also, yes absolutely LSU should retire her 10. Its not even a question lol.

When certain people comment on what will "never" happen for the WMBA why don't they just say I don't value it and I don't watch. News flash four years ago 12.3 million on a NCAA basketball game was unheard of and thought the never happen. If you're a follower be a follower in peace. Those of us who truly love and enjoy the game will continue to support. I personally would have loved for her to stay in college another year. I thought her going to SC would have been great, as Camilla was entering the draft. Her number should be retired at LSU in my opinion.

I'm not sure if she should get her jersey retired, having only played two seasons. But I won't have a problem with it if that's what they decide to do. I'd still rank her below Augusts and Fowles on the "Mt Rushmore" of LSU basketball players.
