Camilla consistently draws the opponent's best big defender, so Angel usually gets defender number 2. CC always draws opposing team's best guard defender. Angel's shooting 40% from the field, same as CC, and all of Angel's shots in the paint, most of CC's shots are 3s. Also less focus on Angel- the two best shooters on the team are Carter and Mabry, so Angel gets few doubles. CC statistically the most doubled and blitzed player in the WNBA.

@@MeanMug_8448 Do you understand fastest to 300 points, 100 boards and 100 assists, means she did that in fewer games than any other player in history? She did it in 19 games, the next fastest player did it in 22 games. That's not quoting a media stats, that's a statistical fact. 😂 That means she's on pace to maybe be the best ever, doing things no one else has ever done in the league.

Making excuses for Clark already, huh? LOL. It's not even all-star break, and you've got your excuses ready. Clark has been GIVEN all of her accolades and has done NOTHING to earn any of them, so what pressure is she under? Clark has not had to actually WORK for anything, so what pressure is she under? I like to support my people, but Rodney is the epitome of the black man who doesn't care to protect the black woman, and a young black woman at that. Track and field athletes don't spend 4 years training for one event. They literally have world championships every year. The same athletes battle against each other during their primes. The problem is, the coverage of the sport is not adequate. They actually have similar formats as the more popular sports such as basketball and baseball. There is the world championship every season and the Olympics every 4 seasons. The best from those sports are selected for the Olympics just the same. And, FYI no one is being babied more than Caitlin Clark. I thought that take was very biased.

The truth is no one ever cared about the WNBA before Caitlin Clark. And no race card that also includes white star players Breanna, Diana, Lauren Jackson and Sue Bird. Caitlin Clark is the star and the face of the W. Without her the W is obscure again. Without CC Angel has no attention. Had that incident not occurred Caitlin would be just a blur much like the other WNBA greats who are actually better overall players for the most part. We would have ignored the fact that Caitlin now holds the NCAA scoring record just like we did with the last woman who held the record. How many people knew that Kelsey Plum held that mark before Caitlin? I sure as hell didn't. Point is, Angel made this thing what it is due to the level of anti-black hatred that exists in America and is propagated by the media. These bloggers and youtubers can't even congratulate Angel for her accomplishments without saying something to try and diminish them. The young lady is doing amazing things for a rookie and is by far leading the Rookie of the Year race. But, watch how the media and youtubers spin things in a way to force the WNBA to either give it to Caitlin or at the very least make them Co-ROY. But I do think that with heart she is doing very well for a rookie this year. And millions of fans found CC however they found her. I personally didn't find her bc of Angel- I found CC on a news feed about a player who was on pace to be first in all time NCAA points AND third all time assists. That caught my attention. Someone who can do both at that high a level, that's extraordinary. Then I watched her pass and shoot logos like Steph, and I was hooked, she is an incredible player, with an equally incredible mindset, her competitiveness reminds me of Kobe. The truth is very few people care about Angel or the WNBA without CC. CC has 10 times the fanbase of Angel. It's because they love to watch CC play. Most of CC's fans probably don't like the WNBA much without CC, because it's boring and always was. So I'm saying Angel is doing well, but she's obscure without CC.

Yup, and CBS Sports' new rookie rankings confirms that because they have Reese firmly at #1. See, Clark has already been exposed as slow, weak, and not athletic. It was easy for her to shine in the NCAA because she was playing against a bunch of teenagers who didn't get up on her and play any real defense. As a result, Clark literally walked the ball up the court, went to an open spot, and shot. She took the most shots on her team, so it's not really a surprise that under those circumstances she would end up tallying the most points. Kareem Abdul Jabbar had the most points of any NBA player, and not once did anyone consider him the best simply because he had the most points. Now that she's in the WNBA, Clark is not dominating and has been mediocre at best because teams know that you just have to be a little physical with her, and she freezes. Reese, on the other hand, WELCOMES the physicality because she's played with it her entire career. She's only 6' 3" but plays like she's much taller because she has DAWG in her and does not throw her hands up in the air in frustration when someone bumps her. Reese already broke and set a new rookie record for consecutive double-doubles, which alone is worth giving her the award, but she didn't stop there. Reese also TIED the GREAT Candace Parker for the single-season record of consecutive double-doubles (9)...is the ONLY ROOKIE who averages a double-double...leads the LEAGUE in offensive rebounds...is #2 overall for rebounding...and is Top 5 in steals. So, it is PAINFULLY clear who the Rookie of the Year is. Now, Clark cultists will continue to be Clark cultists and bring up her jersey sales, attendance numbers, viewership numbers, and how much lemonade she sold when she was 5. They will use all numbers EXCEPT her BASKETBALL numbers because they know that THOSE numbers are mediocre and don't compare with Reese's. The best part is how Taurasi has effectively shut them up because they called her jealous and a grandma. Well, "grandma" has the EXACT SAME scoring average and 3-point shooting average as Clark. So, either Clark is not as good of a shooter as people have given her credit for, or Taurasi is a much BETTER shooter than people have given her credit for. Again, this is why Clark cultists don't like to use actual BASKETBALL numbers. So, congratulations to Chi-Town Barbie for letting her BASKETBALL play define her and proving that she is the superior player versus Clark who was touted as the "greatest women's basketball player of all time" and has done ZERO to deserve such a moniker.

CC doesn't seem to care about Angel, no word ever uttered from her mouth has contradicted that reality. CC gets 10 times the endorsement $ of Angel, Cam Brink, Breanna, Aja, Diana- in fact CC gets more than twice the endorsement $ of all those players combined. 😂She doesn't have any rivalry she wants to be great and play great team ball. @@NycMarty I specifically wrote CC is up 3-2 on Angel since 2023. That is factually correct. Angel won the championship in 2023, lost to CC in 2024 NCAA's. And CC up 2-1 in the pros. Is it time for an eye exam? 😂 No air hustling needed just facts. Look at tv viewership numbers and sold out road games. CC has several times the fan base of Angel, that's why she's getting almost 10 times the endorsement money of Angel, Brink, Taurasi, Breanna and Aja. This is CC's league now, numbers wise. It's called the Clark effect, not the Clark & Angel effect- take some time to accept it or don't. The numbers don't lie.

No WNBA player can stop CC all game one on one, she has to be doubled and blitzed. She can cook anyone one on one. If she's so bad why does she get the most D coverage in the league. You can say no all you want but it doesn't change the fact. Now she's a rookie getting that kind of attention. Why? Why would anyone give her that much attention if she couldn't cook. But she also gets it because no one needs to worry about defending her teammates much except maybe Boston. She always draws the best defenders of the opposing team- and she's a rookie. She is by far the #1 priority of every defense she plays, including last night against the Storm. She still had 16, 6 and 5. She's still the fastest in history to 300 points, 100 boards and 100 dimes in the WNBA, despite that pressure. All those players you are mentioning have great defensive teams, Aces, Suns and Storm, with fantastic defensive support. CC the number one priority, game long, for all of them.

Actually it's the stone cold opposite. Caitlin has 10 times the fan base of Angel. Caitlin sells out all road games, Angel never does. Caitlin games average 3.5 times the league average in tv viewership. CC has fans all over the world. The media is all over Angel because Angel plays the bad guy, I doubt CC even thinks much about Angel, but she seems to live rent free in Angel's head. And thank goodness, without all the media attention that Angel created, Angel wouldn't have much attention- just like the rest of the W's players.

The WNBA is boring and CC is fun and interesting to watch for millions of fans. All the WNBA, including white players Cam and Breanna and Diana. That's why no one cared about the league for over 25 years before CC came to town. It's not about race. No one cared when Sue Bird and Lauren Jackson were playing either. Without CC no one would know who Angel Reese is.

Hey genius… that is not an experience that only Black Women have. Superstar athletes receive scrutiny. No one mentioned mental health, but since you think introducing it is some sort of Draw4 allow me to tell you that if media coverage and criticism and vitriol is deteriorating your mental health, then you may need to pivot to a profession where that is not the norm. Angel brings the vitriol on herself, there are plenty of prominent black players who don't start controversy with their mouths consistently. Like Lisa Leslie, Maya Moore, Tina Charles and so many hundreds of others. It's called class, and it has no race.
