But quite simply nobody can get to Ms Basset's age and look as good as she does without botox, fillers and cosmetic surgery, It's another Hollywood fantasy i'm afraid. Now I don't blame Angela for it and it's a shame that women have to alter themselves for their career but I just find myself eye rolling when people talk about 'her beauty routine' etc.

Shes one of the only who name dropped and HIGHLIGHTED the union of multple artisans to build on a character development. Many actors have a dellusion that the character is all from them alone... or at least they avoid referencing to all the layers who helped shape the chater. Although I adore Holly Hunter's work in _The Piano_ and I totally understand the difficulties and challenges of emoting while not being able to utter a single word, I still feel that Bassett's Tina Turner was the strongest, most memorable performance that year. Amazingly enough, Bassett has never again received an Oscar nod. WTF? Surely Hollywood will eventually give her a role worthy of her talents.

Lhickson227 Not sure what specifically she uses, but she created a skin care line with her dermatologist Barbara Stern for women of color. (I couldn’t afford it. Lol) But it’s worth looking up Barbara Stern to see what she has product wise. And Angela has also said that she doesn’t eat dairy or bread, which can affect your body as well as your skin.

Of course bad habits will negatively impact how a person looks, but if they maintain a healthy lifestyle, the melanin will protect you from aging even faster from the sun. She had her hair braided by the Great Miss Tina Turner. That had to be such an iconic experience to have done. Hair braiding is very personal thing in our Black culture in America, because you can't just let anybody have access to your hair. Trust is built up. I wish she would play Storm in MCU. I don't care if it's a more mature Storm nor do I care if in this version Storm cannot be a couple with Black Panther because she's his mother. Marvel pls make it happen. I've been a fan of Storm since I was a child and I believe her to be the perfect cast!

I always said Angela should have been cast before Halle Berry. Angela IS Storm.

She was supposed to play Storm over Halle, I believe. I think a scheduling conflict prevented her from doing it.

This woman has not aged in forever. My goodness. Also, I swear, watching What's Love Got To Do With It helped me get some strength to leave a bad relationship, so Angela and Tina will always have a place in my heart because of that.
