Bellissimo!! I wept. Turandot is my favorite opera! For those who aren't familiar, in this aria, Liu is being tortured to reveal the Prince's name (Calaf). She loves him passionately and will not betray him. Immediately after the aria, she snatches a guard's knife and kills herself rather than expose her Prince.
