The evidence suggests that Rayner may face legal consequences for making false declarations on the electoral roll and potentially violating tax rules regarding primary residences.
Rayner has declined to disclose tax advice that she says clears her of wrongdoing and has not shared it with Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer.
Tory MP James Daly commented on the revelations, stating that they indicate Rayner has been dishonest about fundamental facts. Starmer has expressed confidence in Rayner but has not considered any evidence in response to these revelations.
