Lalah brings the songbird Angela Winbush to the stage to sing the hit song Angela wrote, arranged, and produced "BABY DON'T CRY"!!! Angela is amazing...Lalah is amazing. Spectacular performance. I wanted Angela to go HIGHER!!!!!!
This used to be my cut right here.. Damn I miss the 90’s.. And the fact that Angela Winbush never gets any credit as just one of our greatest vocalist kills me
Waited along time to see these two together. Probably my favorite Lalah Hathaway song. "Hey, Love, you can always count on me" is my favorite part. I really wish Angela would have taken the second verse. Mama Winbush wrote this one and you can clearly hear her singing bgv's on the original. Nobody sings like Ms. Winbush. And, yes, Lalah, nobody says or sings "Boy" like Angela Winbush. She's amazing!!!!
I’ve Loved Angela Winbush since she was with Rene and Mr. Big! She can saaaang all the things she does with her voice...simply incredible. Then there’s Ms.Hathaway...No voice compares!!!! PeriodT!
Been following Lalah since "Heaven." This song was one of my favs...my Mom loved Angela Winbush. These are both some very gifted ladies! Please receive Christ as Savior if you have not. Time is short. Blessings!
I love that she is humble enough to do that though! some of these girls out here would just run up with unnecessary melissma and such. Angela came off so graceful!
Hello friends, this is Doug Payne of Doug Payne & Polygon. I had the chance to meet Lalah at the 2015 Marian Anderson Awards held in Philly. I told her that I attended her father's memorial service held at Rankin Chapel when I was a music student at Howard University. I remember when Stevie Wonder sent a beautiful acknowledgement to Donnie. She laughed when I told her that the music professors at Howard were tough on us, including my classmate Angela Winbush because of the success of their former students Donnie & Roberta.
Thank you for posting this. I love both of these ladies. I played this song and Lalah's 1st CD to death. I totally forgot Angela wrote, arranged and produced this--what a great artist and it took someone with Lalah's talent to bring it to life! GREAT MUSIC lives on!!
GO Beautiful Ladies...Awesome Song & Vocals!!! I listened to "Baby Don't Cry" Countless times over back in tha' day & still do. Brings back Many Good Memories! 2 Extremely Talented Songtresses...One-Of-A-Kind For Real! 🌈🌟🌟👏🏼👏🏼💯💯

Good to see the writer of the song and the artist perform.....Angela WInbush still have it and her voice is still cold.........SOme artists lose it but she didn't hMeaning Angela Winbus
OMG! I have never seen this video before. Had no idea Angela W. wrote the song. Haven't seen her in years and thought she had retired--glad she hasn't. This performance is awesome. Love me some Lalah as well:)
I wish more people did videos on this topic. I'm a preacher's kid struggling with my faith in Jesus and struggling to know if I really believe in the first place.
I enjoy the live band & the drummer is jus playing freely makes my day. Rick Ross style well before Rick Ross I know about live musicians just playing & rockin.
The drummer was live and in color. IMO he pushed the band like you're suppose to. His dynamics could've been a little sharper and that depends on what side of the fence you're on.
LOVE THEIR BASELINE TOGETHER BUT THEY SANG IT THEIR OWN WAY IN WHICH WAS CUTE! LAY DIDN'T WANT TO BUMP THEM HEADS WITH `A`NG! SHE CAN SANG AND BLOW LIKE A BIRD& TORCH! LAY CAN SING AND JUST DO HER THANG! LOVE THEM BOTH! `A`NGELA YOU KNOW YOU CAN RIGHT THEM SONGS GIRL!
I love this camera... what kind is it.. Inbox me please and let me know.. GREAT VIDEO OF MY FAVORITE SINGER IN THE WORLD. THIS LADY IS BAAAAAAAAD!!! IN A GOOD WAY..LOL
