The barefoot princess is absolutely an angel sent from heaven, i’m 54 years old and she is the best singer I have ever heard in my life. I am absolutely in awe when I listen to her. Not a day goes by that I do not play Angelina Jordan in my life to make me feel better and happier. Absolutely the most amazing singer I have ever heard. I’m a former veteran of war, Former lawn Enforcement, and some of her songs have actually brought me to tears !!!
Her love of singing Adele ballads is so obvious, for it allows her to add more heartfelt feeling due to her 'jazz inspired' roots, whereas as great as Adele is, she's not a jazz singer. Pure Adele vs Pure Angelina and I'll take Angelina every time when it comes to heartfelt ballads.
I was there at this concert 6 months before she was 'discovered' in AGT. It was a beautiful, light Norwegian evening, a small 'exclusive' 😊 audience of around 150 people, the band was OK, but Angelina's voice was of course absolutely fantastic. Angelina was still a shy teenager, not the professional artist she is now. This song, Shield, and All of me were the best songs (along with a Happy birthday song that was never recorded).
As a baby boomer who has heard lots of music, I have never followed an Artist as I am following Angelina. When we were young, we held a transistor radio to listen to music. We now hold our phones to listen to music. Some things never change. Bye
Unbelievably beautiful performance. This was a great concert in 2019, her last before COVID canceled them until this year. And, despite a just-so-so band.
She is the closest 'thing' to a mythological Sirene I can imagine! The way she draws you in and takes over your heart. You just forget where you are, what time it is etc...

Ray, I'm loving your AJ journey and I'll be here for your 90 year senile birthday reaction to the global household name superstar Angelina Jordan. I think she represents all that is good. On her concerts this summer she stated several times that she wanted spread love and kindness to everyone. I can assure you - I've never been in a kinder and nicer crowd than I was then. Everyone I met and talked to had their story of how AJ had affected their lives, people from literally everywhere. One guy I met at july 10'th that had come from Denmark told me it was the first concert he'd atteded, even though he was in his fifties. Well, he picked the right one! If angels do exist, I think she's one.
Hearing of your ailments, I subscribe you to at least three dosis of Angelina’s music. Preferably taken in a live setting (I wish! :-D). If Frederic is less disturbing than Frederico…. Poor Frederico! Adele creates such beautiful, personal and emotional songs and is a great performer. She has been a big inspiration for Angelina and Angelina’s covers of her music are always extra extra special. I love listening to Adele and Angelina’s singing however connects to me more. It is like she has a direct neural pathway into my brain where all the wonderful, beautiful, warm feelings are. Benjamin Button’s disease is a nice take :-) We do see her growing up though and quite frankly that is such an wonderful notion that she will be getting better and better for about a decade before her voice fully matures. The suit she is wearing surely has Woodstock associations. It is the same suit she word on AGT. It is a suit she made herself using a fabric with a print from her Grandmother’s art.

Loved your Woodstock story. Even in a setting you described, with people going "crazy" having fun, the moment Angelina starts heading to center stage the crowd suddenly quiets and all their attention is focused on Angelina. She is so genuine she receives sincere respect from everyone. She also represents HOPE for all because of who she is and how she affects people. And, for some people, in their hearts they believe it may be the closest they come face to face with a purity of love. She wants us to love one another and to be the best we can be as human beings. One of her desires in life is to help make the world a better place to live for all and she can't do it alone. Yes, she is inspiring us and it's up to us to follow through. It'll take time (how much I don't know?) but it can happen. Have people told you, "There's something different about you?" Remember, she's in your heart and she's not leaving you anytime soon!

Great reaction Ray! When a bunch of her fans went to her concerts in Norway during the summer, many of them said she sounds even BETTER in person live than listening to her on RU-vid! Sheesh, you don't hear that often! Girl can sang! I have going to hear Angelina Jordan live at a concert as a bucket list item.
