I think expecting it to hit #1 is being a little ambitious. I would just be happy if it actually made the charts and the rest of the general public starts to hear her and know who she is. It will all have to do with promotion however. I think the music she released last year was all worthy of being hits and could give her the break out we’ve been hoping for but there was little to no promotion.

@@pjg58x Indeed I was feeling ambitious and very few people these days know when a song reaches #1 on any of the many charts. Just getting played often for more people to hear would be a huge step forward for Angelina.

@andyschnell58 True. The charts are so different these days. In the past it was based on singles sales and airplay of the singles. Today it’s a whole different world with streaming and online purchases. Every song from an album release can be streamed or downloaded individually so every song on a new Taylor Swift album for instance will probably hit the charts. Plus an older song might have a revival for a variety of reasons and get back on the charts. That leaves less room on for other songs and artists. Thats why promotion and exposure is the key. So if Angelina could actually get on the charts that would be a huge thing .

Even though I believe this song should be a hit or even a #1 hit, it doesn't matter if it can't be. difficult to achieve higher views on a channel with few subscribers. They can use tiktok videos or YT shorts to promote the songs few weeks before release date. That is how new songs are promoted in 2024. She needs to create a buzz for her 870K followers

@@delmamekenya5286 If channels that have More subscribers want to get the video in front of their subscribers, then they should release a community post promoting the video - that would be more effective than dropping a video on their page anyway in my opinion, because it focuses attention on a single subject. However, right now, this video really isn't even supposed to be out at all, but Toby eventually realized that the cat was out of the bag and decided to go ahead and let me publish it. I have watched and listened to this performance several times - and the thought that came to my mind was that the amazing vocal skills displayed on Bad Valentine took me back to the skills Angelina displayed at age 10 in her recording of I'm Still Holding Out For You - which could have been a number one hit had it been released. Without a big promotion nothing ever happens. Example: Everything she put out last year was top notch but nothing ever came of it. In order for "Bad Valentine" to go viral it needs the promo that "Drivers License" got for Olivia Rodrigo. Toby has to get Angelina on the Kelly Clarkson show just like he did for Victoria Justice a few years ago. Great talent has to be seen worldwide, not just on U Tube

There is a certain, palpable, distinct feel to all of Angelina’s live stuff. It’s pretty unique compared to her produced recordings. IMO, they are both excellent and distinctive enough that they really won’t compete with each other. Look at Million Miles. Angelina’s live versions hold their own against her studio recordings…and vice versa. I don’t think the anticipated studio recording of Bad Valentine will suffer at all with this sneak-peek preview of what’s in store for us this summer.

"Bad Valentine" is the rawest and most amazing song I've ever heard. We know that Angelina is a super mega vocalist, but this was so good and powerful that it can't actually be described in words.
