Sometimes there is a song from a movie soundtrack which just explodes worldwide. This is what happened with Never Enough from the 2017 movie, The Greatest Showman.

Please people, in some comments the woman’s rendition who made the song a world wide complete success is not to your liking. Those great artists who covered the song would tell you that they loved the original and thats why they covered it.

I love Angelina and have always loved every rendition of each and every song she has sung over the years but this rendition seemed to be forced, she may have been sick, but this left me wanting a lot more from her. Once in a while, you get a song that can not be reproduced to the same level as the original, I have heard a lot of wonderful tries but Loren Allred owns this song. Thank you Alan for all the hard work that you put into the videos you make for us. 👍🤗

Perhaps the best cover ever of this song is the version by Morissette Amon from the Philippines on The Wish Bus. I hope that you will at least give it a listen for your own listening pleasure.

Lauren, not Kelly, was 'The Gold Standard' for this song. Angelina applies her emotion laden jazz ability and gives the song a different feel to it, but special 'props' to Lauren, for her performance with Foster was exquisite.

Heart wrenching Angelina Jordan's version is 💔 its a softer beautiful version of the song, like those performances on stage where, in the old days the performer will hold a photograph of the person they love, nowadays the performer could hold a smartphone, they sing to the picture of their person, like an inner prayer, like Judy Garland did singing to Clark Gable picture in the quiet of my room, this makes the song take on a more intimate connection; and makes it seem like the performer could be singing to each person, like that line in Angelina Jordan's song "Fire and Rain" Findin you is easy 'Cause I carry you with me I smile brightly with a slight smirk "got you in my back pocket" a line that I add to the two lines I mentioned above, this softer version holding a picture of the person the singer is singing to, will hit home this softer version of unrequited love that everyone has felt strongly sometime in their life, I believe Angelina Jordan could absolutely do a beyond perfect version of this softer version of "Never Enough" now 💝🙏💎

Personal preferences can never be overlooked in music. However, i do agree that Angelina never belts a song just because it can be or it was originally written to be belted. Angelina is about making you feel the song the way it was meant to be or even could be.❤❤❤❤❤

Another interesting video Alan! I'm so used to Loren's version and see it as the gold standard. It was nice to see the different interpretations by the other artists. With Kelly, she can pretty much sing almost any song, she has softness but has the power when needed. I'm a little biased because I voted for Kelly during the first season of American Idol! LOL What I am surprised is to see Loren participating in America's Got Talent: Fantasy League. With a voice like hers, she should already be successful. As for Angelina, she took a different route and interpretation and she did fine. I may be wrong, but after a number of listens, it sounds like Angelina was using a backing track with someone singing on it. I could swear I heard in different parts of the song another voice underneath. By the way Alan, I'm sure you heard the exciting news about Angelina...Viva Las Vegas!

Great journey, Alan. I enjoyed seeing/hearing so many different versions; a lot of very latented singers. This song was written to be belted by a very strong female voice, and Loren's latest live performance (which you didn't include), is one of the most Stunining vocal performances I have ever heard. After tweaking it into a new and personal version, she performed it a couple of weeks ago on the latest AGT. For me, Loren's latest version of this song is the best this song has ever been performed. As you know, I am a HUGE Angelina fan, and she is my favorite singer (male or female). And while I thought her version was nice, I would not put it in the top 100 of all her performances. Still, Angelina remains my favorite singer, and her live performance at the Nobel Peace Prize Ceramony is my all time favortie version of "Unchained Melody"----STUNNING!!! Thanks Alan, for all you do to promote Angelina.

I got the tape or her and her Reba McEntire did the special they seem to get across Reba McEntire wars her idol so they singer sang. I knew it together beautiful Reba McEntire a great singer Kelly Clarkson wonderful thing if you got on TV show now. And Acapop kids came over and did her rendition of her songs.

The audio here from Angelina seems to be from the cell phone and her voice sounds not at it's best, I am hearing a delayed echo which is distracting , I would really like to hear sound from the production quality side of this song recording. Angelina always go's for the heart first, then the notes. Thanks Alan. ❤👍

I always love when Angelina adds her own twist to a song. She certainly impressed with the extended note at the end! But overall this was one of my least favorites from Angelina. The song I don't think is for her type of voice, as I wouldn't categorize Angelina as a diva. In my opinion only, I think this song is not meant to be changed like that. It demands power and conviction. She sang it holding back like she did Unchained Melody at the Nobel Peace Prize. I don't think that does justice to this particular song, as it did for Unchained Melody. For this time at least, I preferred Lauren Allred and some of the other singers as they were true to the song and type of style. Other songs like Suspicious Minds for example, I love what Angelina does with them because it enhances the song and story. But this time I didn't feel that. Everyone may feel different but that's just my initial gut impression.

Angelina sounds a little hoarse to me, but she is different. Anyway, I’m surprised you didn’t include Loren Allred’s performance 12 days ago on AGT Fantasy League, where she blew the roof off the place with a new arrangement.

Those shows always have pitch corrected vocals aired on TV, never trust those shows. AJ’s version also didn’t natural to me. Compared to her Nobel Prize performance (which doesn’t have autotune/pitch correction) this doesn’t sound the same.

@sahinberg Morissette was in concert. Her version was amazing. Please, just STOP with excuses. As for AJ, no, this wasn't her best. But when she does Unchained Melody, my favorite is still in Portsmouth, then, that is when she is at her best. She doesn't have the range others have, but she does do that song beautifully.

I have been a fan of Angelina for most of her years but in my opinion the concept of singing in a bathroom or broom closet generating no acceptable recording is beyond me. Why does she not realize this and record at a pro setup for the best possible result I wonder. In the past she has recorded some beautiful covers that one can appreciate the nuance of her versatile voice, lately however she has embarked on an Amy Weinhouse or the like, journey of screeching high notes unrelated to the music. She is stunning when she sings the blues, jazz music, I can only hope she grows out of this phase.

To be honest, IMO I don't like Loren Allred version of the song at all. There is really a very strange sound in her voice when she hit that high note. Angelina's voice was strong high but also so tender and soft. Don't know how its possible.

@@sahinberg well I take your word for it . i have also expressed when the conversation was about pitch correction , my opinion that i wouldn't be surprised if most artists if not all including angelina have been pitch corrected for at least some songs to some degree . but i can't recall which reaction that was so you'll have to take my word for it .

I like AJ's tone (I've been mocked for saying that), but this was not great. It's ME, not MAY. And I don't like Loren, but her version was way better. I also think people tend to excuse AJ for everything. Now, because she doesn't have the range, it's ok not to have one? Amazing. She's young and has time to work on the things she needs help with. Wasn't she singing this high for her? Almost "soprano"?

They say MAY because ME is sung with a barely open mouth, versus MAY allows you to have a fully open mouth. And you need that to hit the big note.

@lawrenceb5236 Noone is fighting. And do you like Lucy's sister, Martha? She has a really nice voice, as well and I love how humble Lucy is, sharing the spotlight with her sister. They've done some really lovely duets. As a matter of fact, I've been a fan of Martha for awhile now!

@@charl1121 ok, good. All friendly chats. Lucy and Martha are amazing- The Prayer, Oh Holy Night, Mary Did You Know, etc. Yes, Martha holds her own harmonizing with her older sister. The combination is jaw dropping. And I like Lucy giving Martha encouraging little looks while they are singing. It’s not easy singing along side Lucy with her perfect pitch. Now there’s someone who doesn’t need auto tune.
