A few years a later she sung summertime for a charity event when she was 10, her golden year, and even better and it was orchestrated.

That high note she sings is one of the great highlights of her career in my humble opinion. She deserved to win the competition just for that note alone.

Nick, AJ is a intellectual genius, bear with me a moment, please. I did a guided tour through our Zoo in Germany for "gifted" children. I had to talk to 6 to 7 year old kids like I do to University students and professors. No joke. at 8 years old, AJ had the intellect of of a 28 year old with the emphatic ability to imagine herself into any person she wanted. At 6x yo she put herself mentally into the situation of the shoeless girl, I reread her book. Stay safe man, stay healthy. German greetings.

There is a short YT clip of Angelina attempting to sing "I Will Always Love You" at the ripe "old age" of 18-MONTHS! With the aid of her grandma, she began listening to and actually STUDYING jazz around the age of THREE. So, by the time she was 8 in this performance, she was already well-seasoned and established deeply in her jazz roots. Phenomenal prodigy!

Even at this tender age of 8, she's referred to by the musicians as 'The Boss', for she tells them exactly what she wants and when she wants it. Talk about confidence, this girl has had it ever since she first performed anywhere. Just a beautiful rendition of the song, for sure, which is evident that it was followed by her winning the competition after performing this gem. 10 separate acts and she received 46% of the nationwide vote. It boggles the mind !

To make it a little easier for you to comprehend exactly what's going on here you need to understand her age only has to do with her body, her human form. Her thought processes and her artistic abilities are way beyond her years. No one, I repeat, no one at any age can do what she does when she sings for us. She never sings to impress us. She sings to us because she wants us to be happy and feel love when she sings. Huh? It's not just her unique voice. We are listening to who she is when she sings and her soulful tones touch our hearts in the form of love and we cannot resist.

She never ever just sings the words of a song. Even at that age her interpretation of the lyrics was genius. Listen to the subtle inflections in her story telling. I've heard grown professional vocalist sing this song and not get across the premise like this little girl. BRAVO BRAVO!!

she has listened to the old jazz/blues singers and just added her own twists to them. Angelina also arranges her songs the way she wants them. she arranged this song, especially the horn parts . there is a video of them going over the song and she had to show the horn player the sound she wanted, and she did it with he mouth, not the horn itself.

That clear note you pointed out is the note I always think of as her James Bond note lol. In that 1 tone I can here her sing a James Bond theme.

As good as this was & the other one she did that year at 8 was also awesome in the late summer eve. My Favorite version which she did it differently was when she was 10 & with KORK as the orchestra back in 2016. Her phrasing is even more awesome in that version.

Here's my opinion on how she is so amazingly mature vocally. When she was 1 1/2 she showed interest in the music playing on the speakers .. and her fabulous grandmother totally found a way to get her what she wanted.. she taught her to be able to turn in her favorite song .. Billie, Etta, Amy, Whitney. Frank Sinatra .. etc. .. all the classics. She would listen to one song over and over and over and over .. she spent hours .. and she wasn't only listening .. she was determined to get her voice to do what their voices did that she liked so much. Soo .. again .. just my opinion .. she taught herself to sing from the inside. Huge. She never lost her willingness to take forever singing what she's singing .. a work ethic that is amazing indeed .. she still has it. So .. that's my version of why she has the voice she has .. does that make sense to you?

This was Angelina's performance in the Finals of Norway's Got Talent in 2014. There is a video available showing Angelina working with the musicians in rehearsals. She always knows how she wants to sing a song and teaches the musicians. Moments after winning, Angelina was asked what she wanted to do with the prize money (500,000 kroner or about $80.000) and she replied "I want to give it to the poor children".
