AGT had been trying to get Angelina for years before she agreed to go on as long as she did not have to sign a contract that would commit her to a contract with Simon's record company. AGT relented and she performed on the show. Angelina is in very good hands with her family and uncle Michael Astar who is also her manager. She is well protected from the brutality of the biz. Her family turned down offers from several record companies after she won Norway's Got Talent at 8 but were all turned down including Disney. She signed with Republic Records at 14 under the condition that she would not be pushed until she finishes high school which is of the highest priority to her family. Angelina will be the next big superstar in a few short years.

She was still 13 when she was invited to compete in Americas Got Talent - The Champions (she was eligible since she won Norway's Got Talent at age 8!). This show was aired the following spring when she was 14. Yes, she is Norwegian and 16 years old now, living in Los Angeles since she was 12. She signed with Republic Records in August of 2020 as a "Highest Priority New Artist."

And she never we are shoes while preforming, to bring awareness of all the poor children who have no shoes, in which she meet and gave her shoes to in another country, in which she was touring with several other preformers. Angelina won Norway's Got talent in 2014, at the age of 7! Her B&W cover of 'I put a spell on your, at the age of 9. Angelina has been doing her own arrangements, since she was 7 years old. The page the gentleman is holding at the beginning, is actually her handwritten notes laying out what she expects from everyone. In studio, they playfully call her the "Little Boss". That's not her family, but that is her grandmother. On the candle she holds up, is Screamin' Jay Hawkins. He wrote this, and performed it originally. Nina Simone later covered it. 😆💕 Angelina has sung barefoot, except for rehearsals, since age 6 in remembrance of an orphan girl near her age that she met on the street in the middle east. The girl was using bathroom scales and weighing people for money. It was cold, she was barefoot, and her feet were scarred. They chatted about their dreams, and she asked Angelina what her dream was. Of course, Angelina said she wanted to be a singer, and sing for the whole world, and asked the girl about her dream. The girl said she wanted to be a doctor, but that was not possible because she had siblings to care for, and she wished Angelina luck in becoming a singing star, and she told Angelina she would pray for her every day. Angelina, on the spot, gave her the sea green boots, her favorites, that she was wearing and told her to never give up on her dreams, called her a “princess” and that she would always remember her. Thanks for your reaction. Angelinas family has taken the lead in her education and carreer since she was 7, and has made good decisions all along. Her uncle is her manager. She participated in AGT with the proviso that she would not be bound by any contract at all. AGT wanted her so much that they accepted it. Angelina is very creative and has completely her own style. After following her for years, I'm sure Angelina and her family will continually protect her creative freedom.

Hello you two, Angelina will finish school in summer 2022 and then her record label Republic Records will go all out. At Christmas 2021 she announced the album she is working on and a few concerts in her home country Norway, sorry all sold out. FYI Angelina Jordan has worked for fundraising in charity and donated (sang for it) 21 million USD (low estimate) for children and environment. We angels (fans) are so very grateful to Angelina's family for allowing her to grow older before allowing Republic Records to promote her. Please take the time to read the biography I complied for my all time favorite musical artist. Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman. Angelina started singing around 18 months of age, after listening to Whitney Houston on RU-vid. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz. Mery Zamani is Iranian and was considered a prodigy as an artist and poet while growing up in Iran. Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where starting around age 4, she had training in music but no vocal training. Her teachers were smart enough to not attempt to change what she was doing vocally. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage. *Why Angelina always performs barefoot* At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. Angelina, at age 6 and 7, did record a few songs in a recording studio at her school, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 7 year old. At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried. Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition and was not performed in front of an audience. In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them. In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists. When asked what she would like to do with the prize money she won (500,000 kroner or about $80,000), Angelina replied, “I want to give it to the poor children”. Angelina had become a star in her native Norway and her videos on RU-vid went viral. She gave a few concerts during the summer of 2014 while 8 years old. In December 2014, Angelina realized a life-long desire to sing at the Save the Children's Peace Prize Celebration which is part of the Noble Peace Prize celebration. Angelina’s family took her to United States, Brazil, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Russia, South Korea, Singapore among other corners of Earth, to perform for heads of state and to help raise money for charity. On June 27, 2018, at age 12, Jordan performed “Fly Me to the Moon” for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London. She has said that was the high point of her young career which was already in it’s 6th year. During 2018, Angelina lost her paternal grandfather, her friend Avicii and one of her idols, Aretha Franklin. She did a moving tribute for each. In 2019, Angelina accepted an invitation to compete in the 2nd season of America’s Got Talent (AGT), The Champions. She had, since age 3, wanted to perform for Simon Cowell and she earned his praise with her genius arrangement of “Bohemian Rhapsody”. The surviving members of Queen loved it so much they put a link to it on their Twitter. Angelina was eliminated after covering Elton John’s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”. Angelina’s family refused to sign any agreement with AGT. Angelina, before age 14, had covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, spanning at least 8 genres, all of which are available on RU-vid. Angelina has always made changes to each song she covers and often her version is preferred over the original. The pandemic hit shortly after her performances on AGT and likely caused a change of plans by her family, most notably her Uncle Michael who is her manager. Her family agreed to a contract with Republic Records in August 2020. Republic Records declared Angelina Jordan their highest priority new artist. Reportedly her family requested Republic to allow her as normal a childhood as possible and therefore have yet to fully promote her. During the pandemic, Angelina was often seen buying meals for the homeless on the streets of Los Angeles. In November 2020, Angelina released “Million Miles” which she wrote after the passing of her beloved maternal grandfather. She dedicated the song to anyone who has ever lost a loved one. Angelina had previously released, 3 other original songs: “What is Life”, “Oslo” and “Shield” In April 2021, her original “7th Heaven” was released. A jazzy, danceable, inspiring song. If you had watched the whole video, you would realize how silly your comments at the end sound. This is AGT The Champions. All these people have won or been a finalist in Got Talent shows around the world. She won almost 6 years before this show.

I know her fans will tell you all about this prodigy, so I'll skip that. Suffice it to say that even in this performance, she has been at this since she was a very young child. She won Norway's Got Talent at 8 years of age, and has been producing prolifically since then. The one thing I have confidence in is that she gets better and better with each passing day. She has covered many famous singers (often better than the originals), and one of her favorite artists is Adele. First, and foremost; Angelina was not on that show to win. This was quite simply to promote and expose the US public to this prodigy that comes along maybe once in a generation. I am sure America’s Got Talent was paid well by her production company, or Republic Records who had signed her in 2021. David Foster would have jumped in to produce her if the hitmaking duo Stargate (Beyonce, Rihanna, Sam Smith) had not. She is like nothing we have ever experienced. People, wake up to reality; do you honestly think for one moment that a talent like Angelina Jordan if competing on AGT would not win if it were legit? AJ is a talent like no other in this world at this time. I am astonished at your naiveté!

I'm sorry you seem like two nice people but I quit watching this about 3 minutes in. I know there are people who don't agree with me on this and there are people who do agree with me but when I see a video from a talent show I want to hear what the judges have to say before and after the performance. If you are just going to show the song you can see and don't even need to see just hear that anywhere any time. A big part is hearing what the judges say and what you say about the performance and what you say about what the judges say.

Im not a fan of hers, she uses way too many vocal tricks when singing and it tends to ruin it for me. Good singer but not a great singer for me
