Sounds and looks like a superstar doing just what she’s meant to do!

I have an Angelina Jordan folder under favorites, and recently made one just for the Vegas concert. Now I have one just for your AJ concert videos.

I wonder if you've considered adding an introduction to your treatment of "Princess of Ruins", similar to what you did for her Nobel Peace Prize performance. Many times, people are so enthralled with her voice and appearance that they miss the meaning of the song. She already provides context with her introduction, but there is more that can be said, like the meaning behind the title. I have been adding the following to the comment section in the hopes that people will read it, but there are often so many other comments, that it can easily get lost in the sheer volume. The significance of the title "Princess of Ruins". From her book, Between Two Hearts: I say to the girl: "Yes, I know what your name is. You are called princess." "Yeah, I'm princess" She stands there, a little uncertain. "I'm not a princess living in a castle. We live in ruins; we have no castle."

I may ask Mama Sara for permission to use a few pages from BETWEEN 2 HEARTS; who knows, if I can actually get a hold of Sara, maybe I can get some never-before-seen stuff that is related. Thanks for the suggestion, and if you want, we can collaborate on it. It may be quite some many months until production of such a documentary might be ready to begin, due to permissions, but I WANT TO DO IT. What I would ask You to do is start compiling a list of everything that applies to telling the story : Clips of Angelina talking about it; Interviews; news articles; book signings; anything and everything that is directly related to her giving-up her shoes to the little girl and anything / everything that has happened since. I KNOW THAT CAN BE A HUGE LIST OF THINGS AND A HUGE TASK, but if you are willing, have the time and patience to document the who/what/where/when/why and how of each circumstance, it would make it much easier for me to be more all-inclusive, minimize missing important aspects

I intended to get Mama SARA's permission before the show to record everything, but it was so chaotic that there was no time to do anything except get my cameras ready once I finally got to my seat after the meet and greet, which itself was an even higher level of chaos. Next time I hope to have full permissions in place before we sit down, not only for me, but for a number of "angles / people " 😇Jim

Yes, she is. On another note - I found video yesterday that I didn't realize I had, so I will probably be doing a re-edit of this within the next week. 😇Jim

Remember Ken - I 'work' at any given how - big events (and small) can happen at literally any time of the day on my time scale. And being on a cruise has ZERO affect on that ! 😇Jim

It's called "backphrasing". In jazz, backphrasing is a technique where musicians intentionally play a melody slightly behind or ahead of the beat. It's a way of adding emotional depth and dynamic interest to their performance.

I am fully aware of backphrasing as a stylistic tool for jazz vocalist:)
