“Easy On Me” is great because the finest vocalist of our time has chosen to perform it, Angelina Jordan. Angelina Jordan has the ability to take the mundane and make it spectacular. If I were a song writer, I would be beating down AJ’s door. Adele wrote this song for her son, to explain why she divorced his father. Both Angelina and Adele are under contract to Republic Records and AJ came out with this cover within 1 to 2 days of the release by Adele. AJ affect Every time this girl opens her mouth and those ethereal sounds come rolling out, I lose my breath, and the tears appear. There is no one else on earth that moves me like AJ, and at 75 I have experienced the best the industry has to offer.

Adele's voice is much harder, brassy. Angelina is more like a woodwind, powerful but smooth.

Thanks for another great reaction to & appreciation of another masterful performance by Angelina - this time of a great Adele song. Definitely a solid 10+. IMHO Angelina's covers of Adele songs (including A Million Years Ago, All I Ask & Someone Like You ) are actually emotionally deeper than the originals. For most - if not all of these songs - there are "mashups" available which directly compare both of them. I strongly believe that while they both have beautiful voices, Angelina also has the innate GOD given gift of also being able to emote the essence of each song she sings direct to our hearts & souls to also allow us to deeply FEEL her music as it flows through her. Thank you. And may GOD continue to watch over & bless Angelina Jordan.

She has better breath control than Adele. The part where she repeatedly sing ea ea ea easy on me she does it in one breath. Adele has to breathe before the on me. Also Angelinas vibrato is exceptional.

I was confident you would eventually get to a 10! The funny thing is that the more you listen to her and get your ear (and heart) tuned in to her, the more things that were 9.5s when you first heard them suddenly become 10s for you!

TB ...great review! There have been a plethora (shitload in my language) of the "Easy On Me" covers. Angelina did this less than a week after Adel's was released. No biggie for the( then)15 year old. As I have stated before... go to her originals next.

I understand how you feel she sounds just like Adele. However if you listen to them back to back, you will find bunches of differences. The biggest difference to me is Angelina’s voice: to me her voice is warmer and has more texture and because of that I feel the song more. But yes absolutely brilliant!

Adele is great, but by being a non-jazz singer, there is no way she can match the depth of penetration to the human soul that a true jazz specialist like Angelina can. Because she is a 'vocal chameleon' it's possible for her to emulate Adele's vocals whenever she chooses to. But then, she adds the 'breathy', 'whisper-like' responses she learned from Billie Holiday, as well as the 'slurring' and mid sentence 'key' changes that Amy Winehouse was known for. The result is you feel as if 4 superstar singers are in one song. Have never heard another singer do something this intricately complex in a song. Vocal expert analyzer Andreas Grussl has a video titled 'Is This Better Than Adele?' He breaks down this song, section by section, comparing the two singers. Besides his stating that he believes Angelina's rendition is superior, he compares them both in the 'power section' of the song and shows that Angelina actually 'out belts' Adele. Imagine what level her ability will reach when she becomes an adult with fully developed lungs?

Angelina has much more resonance and depth to her voice than Adele. Also Angelina has also mastered her vibrato, vocal fry, and breathyness that is simply absent from Adele.

Great, thanks! But come on...Adele's voice is much sharper and not as emotional. When this was released at age 15 it presented a noticeable step in maturity for Angelina's voice. Hope you listened to Adele again after listening to this. Welcome more reactions from you.

Sorry but Angelina has much more depth an resonance compared to Adel. Deeper, richer far beyond any contemporary singers. Angelina’s ability to move across genres is beyond any singer past or present. You are watching history as it is made. You really need to look deeper within.

Dude: shadows, buckets, chords on the floor..., REALLY?? All respect, but you've got the attention span of a 4 yr old!!!😂😂😂. Nope, she doesn't sing like Adele, she brings to life the emotions associated to the lyrics with a softer, warm timbre than the almost shrilly edge Adele sings with... That's the difference between them.. Adele is a singer, Angelina is a vocal artist, with qualities, nuances, colors, her vulnerability, she invites you to let the music stir your emotions... But, am liking YOUR liking Angelina.. and I bet you REALLY like the bump she's given your channels' numbers and subs 😉. And when you're fully focused, most of your reactions are good, Even if you gave the 10 to Adele... 🤔😉. Truth, Dude.

You make the same mistake of many critics of Angelina. She sings in Adele’s style, when covering Adele, but she makes different vocal choices, and Angelina’s voice is always distinctively her own. I won’t subscribe until you wise up.
