The eyes roll back or close and that antenna (arm) goes out, you know there's something special coming. The great thing about Jazz and Blues--you rarely get the exact same version twice. Loved that about Stevie Ray Vaughn as well. Franks Sinatra,s band hated it, SRV at the El Macombo you can see Tommy Shannon the base player leaning forward so he could see Stevie playing to give 2 examples. Never get bored listening to their music. I also find incredible the fact that with Angelina I am just as excited for the next song now as I was after the first time hearing her. That is special.

Personally i like the outdoor performance instead of the indoor with the big band. Here on Allsang på grænsen Angelina shows her specialities in different ways tsing a song. And Angelina never perform a song two times in the same way. Here is sings. Butterflies having funf, instead of fun. And In the end she goes bananas on the last long note where she stretch it out to the extreme. A real masterpiece.

This performance was about 5 months earlier than the other one (The Stream gir tilbake). So she was 10 in both performances. 🙂

I might be bias but anything Angelina covers it's her song as a cover. Not gonna say better than original always because that's a bit too much. But it is the best cover ever made. In her Las Vegas performances of "When We Were Young" she made some changes that were so smart, they seem like that way should have been the original version. Ans yes, we do adore her.

I really enjoy coming back time after time to your reactions. your insight and comments are always so appropriate and in my opinion, accurate. I agree that this performance was different than the other you saw, mainly in that it was slower paced. The belt at the end though was prolonged and spectacular. Your thoughts about the fan base following her from the beginning and appreciating the evolution is spot on. Most of us do think of Angelina as a daughter or granddaughter. However, I don't think there are that many that have followed her for the entire 10 years. Personally, I have followed her for 6 years since she was 12, and everything previous I went back to start from the beginning. I don't think I've missed anything! Thanks again for all.

I think most Angelina fans like the big band performance of Feelin Good, but this is my favorite. I don’t think I can explain why. As amazing as Angelina is now, I can’t say I like her singing now more than these early covers. Has there ever been a child singer with this talent, presence, and span of different genres? I’ll answer that: no. She’s ten here, and she’s already been a true jazz singer for several years. Once in a lifetime…

This was great! Zach, AJ sang in Japan when she was 10 or 11, the song is (Like a River Flow). Rusty Shackleford put this gem out there for us to see several years back. She sings the song in Japanese and it's beautiful, hope you give it a reaction. Its one that hasn't made the rounds too much, but is truly wonderful, the tune to this song is catchy and she delivers it with perfection. Her grandfather was partJapanese, which i'm sure is why she is there performing. Looking forward to your reaction to that one!

I think most of us who have been Angels for more than 6 or 7 years have become firm believers that the only time we will hear a better version of a song by Angelina (cover or original) will only happen if she performs it again.
