Angelina is the youngest published author in Norway. Angelina wrote and her Grandmother illustrated a book about why she sings barefoot. She was on a trip to Iran where her grandmother is from and met a street girl weighing people for money. Angelina sat and talked with the girl. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, a doctor but that it could never happen. Angelina told her to never give up hope. The girl complimented Angelina on her shoes and Angelina noticed her scarred bare feet so she gave them to her, and the little girl told Angelina she would pray for her every day. Her dad worked as an engineer for some time in a famous city in the middle east, Her mom Sara and 6 year old Angelina took a walk though the icy rainy streets of this city. I'm not going to bother suggesting more of her songs for you to check out, because at this point you could literally choose just anything and it would almost certainly be fine (from our perspective, I mean - amazing from your perspective🙃). But I will say, I have listened to her almost every day (except, say, when I'm traveling) for the last 4 years, and quite a bit less often for about 4 years before that. (Guess when I fell down the rabbit hole and became a huge fan.) I first heard her in late 2014, at least 6 months after her "world debut" on _Norske Talenter_ [Nprway's Got Talent]. She impressed me, but I "filed her away" for future reference because I was following other singers at the time. And then I didn't come back to her for a couple of years. (!!) I feel bad about that now… I guess I should warn you about one thing a lot of people _wouldn't_ be fine with, and that's to choose a different version of "I Put a Spell on You" than the black-and-white video on her Official channel as your introduction to Angelina singing that song. That is one of very, very few songs for which the original studio version is so far superior to every other version she's done that you absolutely _must_ react to the studio version of it rather than any subsequent live version (I mean, you can try some other versions afterwards, if you want…). Angelina (at 6) felt drawn to this girl and went over to talk to her (in Farsi). She learned that the girl had lost her mother, and the family was poor, so she had to earn money to support her siblings. Angelina noticed that the girl was barefoot and had scars on her feet, so she gave the girl her new boots right then and there. Great reaction. A couple of things… This video was produced and directed by Angelina’s Grandma Mery Zamani. She was also a child prodigy at the age of six, being gifted at painting and poetry. She and Angelina share a very special bond with each other. Angelina has said of her Gramdma Mery: “…She is my inspiration, my best friend… my everything!” This video was filmed in America’s southwest; probably near either the Bonneville salt flats in Utah, or more likely California’s Death Valley. The whiteness over the mud in the images is crusted salt. The story of Angelina’s bare feet is very special. Angelina wrote a book about why she sings barefoot when she was nine years old becoming the youngest author in Norway’s history (Angelina is Norwegian but she has lived in Los Angeles since moving there with her family when she was thirteen). Angelina is perfect because though there are no singers or musicians in her family Angelina was born with perfect pitch and she can be seen singing as a baby of 18 months with a karaoke mike, her mike technique inspires ideas of reincarnation. .... she is just a musical prodigy. The only readon you hadnt seen her before is her family tried to balance her wishes with concerts in the school holidays and giving her as normal a childhood as a child prodigy can have. After turning down everyone including Disney they finally signed with Republic Records when she was 14 as Republic agreed not to push her out till she finished school.

Musicians working with Angelina would call her the boss since she knew exactly how she wanted to sing the song and would confidently instruct the musicians. While one could say Angelina was mimicking other artists, there is no doubt she had her own style and created her own arrangements, even at this early age. Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition to trim the number of vocalists who passed their audition, and was not performed in front of an audience. In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them. In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists. When asked what she would like to do with the prize money she won (500,000 kroner or about $80,000), Angelina replied, “I want to give it to the poor children”. The vast majority of the prize money was donated to charity benefitting poor children. Record company executives flew their private jets to Norway to attempt to sign 8 year old Angelina but all were thankfully rebuked. Disney also made an offer but not accepted. In December 2014, Angelina realized a life-long desire to sing at the Save the Children's Peace Prize Celebration which is part of the Noble Peace Prize celebration. Angelina’s family took her to United States, Brazil, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Russia, South Korea, Singapore and Mexico among other corners of Earth, to perform for heads of state and to help raise money for charity. She has said that was the high point of her young career which was already in it’s 6th year. During 2018, Angelina lost her paternal grandfather, her friend Avicii and one of her idols, Aretha Franklin. She did a moving tribute for each. In 2019, Angelina accepted an invitation to compete in the 2nd season of America’s Got Talent (AGT), The Champions. She had, since age 3, wanted to perform for Simon Cowell and she earned his praise with her genius arrangement of “Bohemian Rhapsody”. The surviving members of Queen loved it so much they put a link to it on their Twitter and allowed Angelina to copyright her version. Angelina’s family refused to sign any agreement with AGT which would give Simon any control over her career. Angelina, before age 14, had covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, spanning at least 8 genres, all of which are available on RU-vid. Angelina has always made changes to each song she covers and often her version is preferred over the original. The pandemic hit shortly after her performances on AGT and likely caused a change of plans by her family, most notably her Uncle Michael who is her manager. Reportedly her family requested Republic to allow her as normal a childhood as possible and therefore have yet to fully promote her. During the pandemic, Angelina was often seen buying meals for the homeless on the streets of Los Angeles. In November 2020, Angelina released “Million Miles” which she wrote after the passing of her beloved maternal grandfather. She dedicated the song to anyone who has ever lost a loved one. Angelina had previously released, 3 other original songs: “What is Life”, “Oslo” and “Shield” In April 2021, her original “7th Heaven” was released. A jazzy, danceable, inspiring song.
