This is the nightly Angelina walked into the line light. The jury knew something special was about to happen but still were stunned. She walks on stage, wild maand of hair, teeth missing and in a princess dress if sorts. As soon as she starts singing everyone is spellbound and the magic happens. So beautiful!

Your next react should be to watch Angelina’s ten year old and then her sixteen year old renditions of “My Funny Valentine”. You might as well just go ahead an remove your socks before viewing those performances because Angelina is going to blow them off anyways.

Here is a quote from Angelina (7y) from an interview with TV2 after her Auditions NTG 2014. "The reason I chose this song is completely random. I love jazz, but" Gloomy Sunday "was random. It was a night I could not sleep and my mother was stressed that I was awake long after midnight. Then I borrowed my mom's iPad where I wanted to listen to jazz on RU-vid before I fell asleep. Then came a picture of a beautiful lady screaming at the sky and with her eyes closed. I heard the song "Gloomy Sunday" that night and then I had to hear it every day. I love the melody. I understood well what the text was about because I know English well. Every time I sang it I felt something special about it, it's hard to explain in words. When I sang it for mom, she said that this song is nice, but that it was incredibly sad song. " ♥👣👸🏻🎷 In a interview after this performance Angelina's mom was asked why she was crying during her performance?? Were they happy tears?? Mom said; " They were happy tears but they were also sad tears because I know I just lost my daughter to the world. ♥👣👸🏻🎷

Most are not familiar with this song or Billy Holiday singing it. Everyone should listen to the fabulous Billie Holiday singing this to really be aware of how great she did here. This performance got the attention of an international audience for the first time. I read somewhere that her mother was crying because she knew at that moment she would have to share Angelina with the world. The judge that told her "You are music", she had it right, very astute recognition. While this one got their attention I believe the next one, Billy Holiday's "I'm a Fool To Want You" that was sung in an elimination round on the stage with her competitors standing directly behind her, in English, her third language, without music.....and nailed it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LXknLZDoRVQ.html Thank you for your thoughtful reactions and not just playing them to increase subscribers..

Hey Hatley, Watch out which version you take: From "I'm a fool to want you" which in Norske Talenter AJ sings a capella there is a shorter version because there are 54 seconds cut out. And these 54 seconds are so good - even with speaking in - but the good thing of this version is, that you can't hear that there is something missing: AJ hit exactly the notes even after nearly a minute... Judges' Cut-Off with all of AJ's singing: "I’m a fool to want you": ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LXknLZDoRVQ.html The version, where at 1:13 is the cut where 54 (or 43) sec. are missing and you don't hear it...: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6LIcQL5gLoY.html ;-) And for to review her development you should AFTER reacting to her version on Norske Talenter react to her studio recording footage at 12 yo: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SGx0djXTXQk.html If I say that this is fantastic it would be underestimate her talent, her musical and vocal abilities… Have fun Andreas 😎

I've always believed Billie Holiday redefined the genre of jazz, even though so many great jazz singers came before her. Billie had this way of applying this 'breathy', 'whisper-like' at times, delivery to a heartfelt ballad type of song that would just mesmerize me like no other singer had ever done. The same thing happens when Angelina applies Billies inflection like techniques to ballads and her ability to emulate Billie's vocals so exacting is why I referred to her, many years ago, as a 'vocal chameleon', for like the lizard can instantaneously change its outer body color to match its current surroundings, Angelina accomplishes something very similar with regard to her vocals. I would constantly go back and forth to hear Billie and Angelina's versions of 'Gloomy Sunday' and they sound like the same singer is performing both renditions. That's when all the talk about Billie being reincarnated in this little girl and it's truly deserved.

Great reaction, Hatley ! Yup. 7 years old, doing that. In a foreign language, too. With more emotion and conviction than most grown up artists could ever dream of expressing. That's what hits me the most with her, and is also the reason why I NEVER get tired of listening to her. She just hits different somehow. On top of that her range and power like you said. And the her very essence, her absolute modesty. We have never seen or heard ANY kind of diva tendencies from her, and we never will. I know that for a fact. Love from Norway ♥♥♥

You'll notice the last judge (the one with his mouth open) asked her if she knew what the song was about. I believe he was asking to see if she was aware of the history of the song. That's because 'Gloomy Sunday' is known to history as 'The Hungarian Suicide Song' and was banned in parts of Europe during WWI because many believed the song had led to a rash of suicides in the population. Angelina, unaware of this at the time, I'm sure, simply replied Yes, it's about a sad Sunday and I think the judge was pleased to realize she had a simple child's view of the song and it's meaning. Thus the comment in essence Yes I could feel that sad sunday. Amazing Angelina would start her career with such a controversial song. I'm guessing she has since learned the history and it would be interesting to hear what she would think about it today. Color me curious. ♥👣👸🏻

I think it's her orientation to the goooood to see the sad Sunday and not too Gloomy. There's always a way for a new future for us. Look the lyrics of her first own song.. What is Life? Or her book Between two hearts, she saw the light and the stairway to heaven at the age of 6y😇

The history of this song is what led to my discovery of Angelina. Research for a newspaper piece I was writing back in about 2015 made reference to the song's reputation and took me off on a two hour tangent of discovery. Eventually, when the time came to listen to it for the first time, I was distracted by a thumbnail of a 7-year-old alleged to have sung it on a talent show. Given what I had learned so far, this made no sense and quite frankly very little about what this girl is capable of has made sense since. It was days later before I remembered to listen to Billie Holiday's rendition.

Ralph, The judges loved her instantly, because she was so down to earth. The judge first speaking to her is Mr. Omer Bathi, he was the protege of one Michael Jackson. Since that day Omer is a fast and good friend to her and her family, he also introduced her to the Jackson family. In a interview he told "when I drove her around, because her mon had no time, I had to stop driving, when Angelina started to sing in the car" Ralph, be safe and sound, good to have you back on the AJ-train. The family recorded everything so I have seen a clip of her singing in tune with a mike in tune under the age of 2. She even has the diva arm gesture. Then at 6 years old in the studio singing I WHO HAVE NOTHING. She's reading lyrics and singing in English then switching to her native Norwegian to talk to the sound engineer...at 6 years of age!

Angelina Jordan creates a genius performance once again of a legendary song. Your comments are so insightful, but young artists require more than just a great reaction. Please help boost the career for Angelina and each aspiring artist you feature. It is critical, not only because they deserve the recognition, but because the success of your channel depends on it. If you have not already done so, I suggest you provide links in your description for the original video and the artists' official channels. Since most viewers do not go to your description on their own, direct them to those links, and to watch, like, comment, and subscribe as you should also do for your own channel. You may be aware that there have recently been significant changes for reaction channels on RU-vid. This consists of increased copyright strikes, and other channel issues. I and a few others who are fans and also advocates for channels like yours, are petitioning for an ease on copyrights for those reactors that actively support their artists. Most reactors are focused on themselves and neglect the needs of the artists. We have begun to compile lists of channels that are complying with the support suggestions above, to present to RU-vid and the record labels. We are also currently getting involved in a petition whose aim is to address this issue along with other RU-vid guidelines that are related to the viability of your channel. Active artist support will be key in this endeavor. Thanks for all you do. Peace out.

Big shoutout to you and everyone that you know who are doing this to help out with this issue. I make sure to give credit to the artists for their original work because they deserve it. Without them creating the music/content, then it wouldn’t be anything for us to react too. Again I appreciate everything you’re doing and thank you 🙏🏾 for checking out my video and channel!

@@HatleyHour Thanks. You do a great job with written support in your description, including social media as well. That's so important. And even more importantly is verbally encouraging your viewers to use those links. The big thing is being able to boost the algorithm of the artist the same way you boost yours., Watching videos to the end, liking, commenting, sharing, and subscribing. Your viewers need to be told specifically because most don't know how to support the artist or to support you. Peace out

Hello, Hatley. How did I miss this? 6 days ago? Today is Feb 3, 2023. I must have been running a marathon---always come in last. LOL! Yes, 7 years old auditioning for Norway's Got Talent. That water piece was way too loud---blasted my unsuspecting ears. Sorry. That's a complaint. I don't like to do that. To Angelina. I never tire of this performance. Yes, so much soul, and her voice reaches right into mine. I love music---have listened to music from around the world my whole life, as well, as here in the USA. Never, in my 68 years, have I been so affected by a singer. You philosophy resonates with me, Hatley. I'll be looking for you again. Grandma Ellen, out.
