Juliet, I totally agree, Angelina's voice captures our attention from the first note. Once entranced, Angelina takes us on a journey through each song. Angelina's 18th birthday is in 68 days on January 10th, 2024. While we don't know if her family was waiting for that important birthday, but they have been consistent saying Angelina won't be promoted until she is ready to make the decisions for her career on her own. I will be patient until that time, whether it is in January 2024 or a year or two later.

Beautiful analysis, I absolutely agree with you Juliet. This EP "Old Enough" it's so intense and passionate, I still can't decide which song to prefer... but as usual with Angelina, the result is, all of them. She is absolutely stunning in her vocal talent and her technique is of one uniqueness so evident and so incredibly captivating and piercing! I love her fantastic ability to mix old and new in music, another of her amazing features. I've been listening to this EP for days now, almost continuously and yet it still takes my soul, I love her music, her beautiful deep lyrics and the determined self-confidence achieved by Angelina. What a wonderful evolution of our little chrysalis over the past 10 years. And consider that this EP is only a part of the definitive LP that will probably be released in the last part of year and should contain 11/12 songs, imagine what more she could put in it! ❤🧡💛

It’s amazing how many Angelina songs grab you immediately. They always did, but in the last few years we’re getting such unusual and catchy music to go along with her unique vocals. Yes, your favorite Angelina song is the last one you heard-until you remember hearing Bohemian Rhapsody or I Put a Spell on You or a few dozen others. Different styles, different genres, different vibes-it doesn’t matter. She has been killing them all for a decade-and she’s only 17.

She's written about 100 songs, of which the 6 in this 'EP' were taken from. I haven't been this impressed by an accumulation of album songs since Amy's Grammy winning album 'Back To Black'. All the songs on this 'EP' are definitely Grammy worthy.

Wonderful reaction and comments. Do you remember the first time you discovered Angelina Jordan. I wish I could remember the first time I discovered Angelina. I've been following her about 4 yrs going on 5. I only know I was hooked immediately and had to see more. Every time I was blown away and couldn't wait for the next one. Of course, it was immediately followed by the next one and the next one and that continued late into the night until I had gotten through all of them. I believe it took 3 or 4 weeks but 180 videos, now going on 200+, is going to take time. What a great library and the whole story of her life up to that time. I believe it was shortly after her appearance singing 'Bohemian Rhapsody' on AGT. I've been listening to her every day since then. Then I discovered reaction videos which I had never been interested in. Until I found Angelina. Now I could watch new fans being born every day both in the reactors and their followers. Plus, the fact that I could watch the first reaction when it was their first and relive my own 1st experience with them every time. And then I discovered the comments. Again not a clue but oh my goodness what a wealth of knowledge and history as well as links to even more content. To learn the story of why she sang barefoot again blew me away. I now began to be astonished by her incredibly huge heart and humanity in this little girl. How can you not be impressed? And so it was off again watching every interview and hidden gems not found on the sites I had already exhausted. I took my time and continued searching for anything new. Of course, Angelina continued to put out more content and I found Tiktok and had another whole new world of Angelina to explore working and living in real time. Beautiful short clips of her experiencing and growing right in front of my eyes to the beautiful young lady she is now. Even now I get to find a rare gem never before seen or experienced. Like the new clip of the full 6= minute video of Angelina singing at 18 months old. That was a total surprise. No clue it existed because as I'm sure most other fans were unaware. I don't think it had ever been released. Of course, every pure fan of Angelina had seen the 20 second clip of that originally from an interview or documentary of her life early on. I thought at the time that was all there was to that video just a short 20 seconds of little baby singing to a Whitney Houston song but again I figured it was an unexpected blurb from a little baby. A rare glimpse of a baby mimicking a singer. Not a clue it was only part a full six minutes+ 'performance' a young musical genius developing right from the very start. What I was actually witnessing was in reality one of Angelina's first practice sessions doing what she was born to do. Singing and becoming a superstar. Startling again and another unexpected glimpse into this genius right from the start. First of ... great reaction. I always appreciate learning about singing but I also like to see candid reactions to Angelina's amazing performances. I have been following Angelina for about 2 years now... and just wanted to say. There are some absolutely amazing artists out there... Dimash, Sohyang, just to name a couple, but I also have to say.. I have yet to hear an artist in any genre that is doing what Angelina is doing. Her arrangements, vocal stylizations, song writing, ETC are just so unique to her. There just isn't anybody else doing what this young lady is, and has been doing for quite some time now . She is definitely a, one of a kind, once in a century, kind of artist. It will be a long time before someone like her comes along again. Funny to be saying that about a young lady that isn't even an adult yet, and scary to think where she will be musically in 10 years. She has just grown so much over the last 8 years or so, that is just hard to fathom where she will be years down the road. Incredible Artist, Musician, Arranger and most of all, person. This young lady is as humble as a person can be and has a heart of gold. Truly a gift to all of us that follow her, and anyone that comes in contact with her.

Regarding Good In Goodbyes, she said this in her listening party: (based on a transcript by Douglas Switzer, edited for better readablity) "The story behind Good In Goodbyes is basically a message for all of you out there. When you’re trying to achieve your success and really dream, like big, and if there’s people around you that can’t see the light in your eyes, don’t, don’t let them really decide for you, that you’re going to dream on. Like, just keep on going, and if they weren’t meant to be in your life while you’re about to shine, it was just the good in goodbyes. (laugh) So um. (laugh) (singing along:) Shine in the night sky, free bird ready to fly. That’s the good in goodbyes. (laugh) And basically, like just don’t ever give up, if you really want to achieve something and you, YOU really want to, it will come true. It just needs a lot of patience, but it will happen. (laugh)" Thus I thought, that this inspired by people wanting to influence her career in a way she didn't want to go. Also, I interpret "Cause you are pure light, and your differences were made by design" as saying that the differences matter, might even be intentional, and you should be proud of being different. Putting both together, I'd say it's about somebody that made the impression of supporting her, but then asking for change. E.g., do more mainstream current pop instead of retro jazz/soul, but that's just guessing, of course. Of course, not knowing what she had to say about it, you can generically interpret it relating to any toxic relationship were the other is not really supporting you, but want you to change in some way, and restrict you. The messagge is to get out and go on, again, being proud of the way you are, even if it is "different".

This is a wonderful song. The whole EP is Angelina’s statement that it’s not always easy be she is here to stay. She is going to do it her way and she not going to allow those who want to hold her down stand in the way. As she has said she is shining bright, heading towards the light and all those who want darkness need to step aside. What a beautiful statement and story told by the six chapters of this EP. ❤❤

Angelina is not going to compromise what she does, and radio plays the flavor or pop songs. She will be mega successful, and when she turns 18, she will explode all over the media. This has been planned for years, and Angelina will have following like the greatest singers of all time.

I don't understand the cause for the lack of permotion but in years past a artist would produce music on vinyl or tape and it would be sent out by the recording label to all the major radio stations that fit tha music genra and the station would play it in x# of time slots daily, I don't believe that is happening with this music for whatever the reason.but labels can force hit songs with there permotion and influences with radio conglomerates .just a thought

Angelina's lovely tone and great soul chops fit right in. How about that bass line?
