Tiny Little Girl Our tiny little girl with the grownup voice was 17 on Jan. 10, 23 and is now 6'1" tall and could be a super model, but I hope the major portion of her career will be dedicated to her music and taking the world to a better place. I don't think she even realizes this power she holds over us and the need to hear that signature voice to fill that empty void within all of us. Angelina Jordan is in fact the "Benchmark" for all other vocalist to try as they might to achieve. I have a number of pictures of celebrities whose height is known, for example, Austin Butler, who played Elvis, is 6ft tall, and AJ published a picture of her standing next to him, she was at least 1 inch taller than him, and she had to look down at him.
Every time I hear this I think what an amazing artist Whitney was and the gift she gave us during her life, I then take stock of what Angelina has given us over the past 15.5 years ( based on her first video when she was 1.5 ) and can't actually believe what we have to look forward to going forward. Angelina is such a special gift to this world.
Ashley, I very much enjoyed this reaction....you said "she feels every note", "she sings with passion", and yes Ma'am she surely does...now, she is also incredibly adept at incorporating many other vocal techniques, nuances, colors, ornaments...her breathing skills allow her to drop from a powerful note to a soft voice EFFORTLESSLY...her masterful interpretation of lyrics is also what contributed in making this rendition fresh, meaningful, a work of musical art, her own VERSION. There are singers, there are artists, but Angelina took a cover and provided the perfection that set a very, VERY high bar on how it needs to be done. I'm thinking you'll try maybe another one(?) Her journey started at 7yrs old; check out her VAST portfolio of interpretations...Give an eye to the number times these songs have been viewed...you'll come to realize you just listened to a VERY gifted young lady, PEACE!!
At her last concert on July 10th 2022 in Norway, when Angelina told why she sings this song and dedicated it to her grandmother Mery Zamani (her grandma was sick and couldn't accompany Angelina on the trip to Norway and both were very sad), I understand this song completely differently whenever I hear the line "Don't you dare walk away from me". 👣💯 *AJ* 💯 👣
Ashley, great reaction. You might want to check out Angelina, at the age of 12 or 13, doing a cover of the Etta James song "I'd Rather Go Blind". You can hear and feel the maturity in her voice developing in that song.
Ashley, I am looking forward to next reactions to Angelina. I have been addicted to her voice and personality for years now. Angelina has an album coming out very soon and it will be packed with her personality and voice.
I subscribed in the hope of more reactions from, IMO, the best singer storyteller in my 64 years. Angelina treats each note as the most important and evokes tremendous emotion. Ashley, PLEASE always provide a link to the original video AND encourage viewers to watch, like and comment on it, to show love to the artist. Angelina would want you to do so for each artist you feature. Be proud to boost the analytics for the artists who bring us so much joy.
Great reaction Ashley. New Sub. But you did not let her finish the last note. I think she reads the lyrics first before listening to the song. In this way she can understand the feeling and emotion the artist wants to convey. Then she arranges it to be able to dramatically convey the feeling and emotion to us. She takes iconic songs and makes them Angelina songs. Her vocals, tones and smokiness do the rest. She is already The Greatest of All Time! Just amazing!!

LOL, it's been a while since you did an Angelina reaction, and that little girl is now 17 and stands 6'1". This was her "Cover" of Whitney's song from last year, now you should check out her "Tribute to Whitney Houston" at still 12 or just turned 13. The same song, but at 13 she stayed closer to the original. Some have said it was in response to claims that she was good at singing songs in a lower range, but couldn't hit the high notes. Whitney has been my favorite singer for a long time, Until she got into the drug stuff and that kinda messed her up. I went back and listened to witneys version of this and she was a little off key here and there and not a great performance. Angelina is right on the money . Perfection. Whitney would be proud of her Im sure.
